  1. Caliper is actually new this past year, as is the disc and pads. Have had the same problem in previous years with the previous caliper, so I think rules it out. I’m thinking that it must be something related specific to the handbrake, as I can drive and brake without any problems. But that ilia my challenge- I’m not even sure where to start with figuring out where water might be ingressing or how to drive it out. :(
  2. 2010 Superb. Over the summer my AC started acting up, especially on hot days - would be OK in the AM, but on the drive home, would sometimes not kick in at all for 5-10 minutes and blast me with hot air Brought it in and they said the AC was low and recharged it. Afterwards I have noticed that while it no longer blows hot, for the first six minutes, it does not blow cold. Not great, but livable for a 10+ year old car. But now in the winter, I have noticed that I have the same delay before the defroster kicks in, which is more of a problem. I'm pretty sure that before this summer it would blow cold almost instantly and never had a fogging issue either. Anyone have a similar issue? Any ideas?
  3. I just did mine at 175k km and 10 years. Old parts essentially looked brand new. Small amount of resistance in the water pump, but still very easily turnable by hand.
  4. I have a 2010 Superb with a manual parking brake. Seems like anytime the temperature goes below freezing overnight, even by just a degree or two, the parking brake freezes. I've had this happen in older cars, and usually it will unstick after a few tens of meters or by some hard pulling and releases. Not so here. Pulling it just makes it tighter, and ended up driving 2km the other day and ended up with a glowing rear disc. Other than the obvious of not using the parking brake in the cold, does anyone have any ideas about how to prevent this?
  5. Well, glad to hear that I am not the only one. I checked then CAN readout in the Columbus, but seems that it only displays to the nearest kph, no decimals. It just mirrors the maxidot, and both are stable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. If you go into the "hidden" Columbus menu, you can see that under the gps section there is no speed given. Only place to find speed is in the CAN menu, which has the same source as the speedometer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Engine is about 1000 rpm... Essentially idle. As for the digital speed, it is steady. I have a columbus with the diagnostic menu. I will take a look at it today and see what the speed with the decimal is. I think my real speed is not fluctuating, and if it is, not nearly as fast as the wobble. I would be seasick if it was. 8. I was thinking about doing the same, but the dealers in Sweden are a total ripoff... I'm due for my 90k km (60k mile) service and the dealer wants upwards of 700€ for it (€450 alone for the air filters, diesel filter and brake fluid flush). Independent garages only want €250-300 for the same job (including the long life service) But they don't have the same knowledge about the little quirks... :( Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Hi all, I get a slight wobble in my speedometer when in cruise at low speeds (circa 30-40 km). Has anyone else noticed this or have any ideas? Tachometer is rock solid.... Wobble is minimal - just +/- 1 mm or so, but annoying... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Having a very similar problem. Played with the car a bit while waiting for my wife's train. For me, it seems to somehow be linked to switching from reverse to first (manual). But it doesn't happen every time. Can't quite figure out what triggers it. Just a flash for a fraction of a second - like a camera flash. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Amazon, bought individually. For some reason, the kit was more expensive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I have the exact same problem with my iPhone. Strangely, the call log always works. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I've been trying to figure this too. I have noticed when I am in stop and go traffic that when I stop (even after just going circa 100 meters), the headlights seem to rotate inward. Fun to watch, but I would like to understand what they actually do at different speeds. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Have you put a voltage meter on the connection? Sounds like you have a high voltage blowing the bulbs...
  15. I had no problem downloading...what error are you getting?
