  1. Might pop along, never been to a meet before.
  2. An edinburgh meet i could go to and my cars clutch has gone, just my luck :L
  3. Steve Edinburgh - Leith area 03' 1.4MPI Estate on a 52 plate Red Seatbelts, Bohemia/Sport seats, Mk4 polo 14'' alloys, Black grill ect. Check my tread thing/signature for the full list. Brisky sticker on my rear window left side, Briskoda.net one above my left headlight. STILL NOT BEEN SPOTTED! :(
  4. Seems i've hit my allotted disc space so i've uploaded what i've been up to to Photobucket. http://s1313.photobucket.com/user/steve_maher92/library/?sort=3&page=1 Spoiler is getting fitted on friday and will be starting repairs on the passenger side sill that i damaged so will upload progress of that
  5. A few things have happened since the last time i posted which was 6 months ago Since them myself and my dad have replaced the front drivers side subframe, wishbone, tie rod/track rod end and both of the wishbone bushes. Also sorted out the oil leak from the front of the engine caused by the crankshaft sensor thing? The common MPI front leak anyway is now sorted, I still have a leak from the sump it looks like so will get around to that when it gets serviced after that it passed it's MoT with no problems other than the drivers drop link advisory which got sorted a day later. Also done the coolant and replaced the tank Anyways on to more interesting purchases and progress with older stuff. Got my spoiler painted at college, My 3rd time painting anything so i'm well chuffed with the result - Will be fitted shortly. Swagged the oh so common and everyone has them Red Seat belt's for £72 and got a leather handbrake cover too just need to clean some mildew/mold off the belts and i'll get them fitted, Handbrake looks and feels awesome though. Next update will be of the spoiler fitted and the belts so have a check back when I've done that, Here's some pics to tide you over if you even like my car haha. EDIT: Having issues uploading so sadly you will have to wait till i can get this sorted
  6. Need to check in with him later today, Will let you guys know what the outcome is Thanks for the help And flapperjack i'll let you know bud thanks.
  7. Appreciate it i think my dads going down the heli coil route as far am im aware. It's held in by thread lock atm just so we could move it.
  8. That seems like the way to go IMO, I really appreciate all advice given, I've got a college course starting soon and really need the car to get there. Will let the old man know this is an option for us.
  9. Just seen this as i pressed enter, The heli coil kit looks like a tap&die set which my dad actually has i take it these are the same?
  10. Appreciate the link, The bolt it's self is fine it's the threads inside the sub-frame that are knackered. So by the looks of it it's a new/used sub frame (Insert swear words/crying here) Doesn't look too easy either. Cheers for the help/link i'm useless with the search function
  11. Hi, So today me and my dad fitted new front wishbone bushes to my 1.4mpi and when we done up the drivers side the bolt kept spinning and we've stripped a bit of the alloy sub fame i think. Is there a way around this like a new longer bolt perhaps? or a nut and bolt? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  12. My old man has 6 cars (inc 2 taxi's) His mondeo 2.0 tdci was fast enough with 130ps but he's old now so think he'd rather comfort. He also can't work out why his son is asking for 200bhp cars when apparently my 68bhp fabia is fast enough
  13. Good idea's right there will definitley go check them out My dad's a ford guy but i don't get them they've never appealed to me besides (Fix Or Repair Daily)
  14. Yeah the clio seems to be getting good reviews most of the bigger cars are reasonable to insure like last year i checked what a c4 corvette would be and it was £800 fully comp with 2yr no claims but i sadly can't afford a corvette but i do see where your coming from *leaning towards the clio now*
