  1. I dealt with him directly so no reason he wouldn't make a simple call. It doesn't bother me anymore as I've met a good few unprofessional sales people over the years which just seems to be par for the course unfortunately.
  2. No call from Richard today so they won't be getting a penny out of me. I travelled 8 hours for my Abarth so would happily travel down south if the right car caught my eye.
  3. Hi folks, no call today so that as they say is that. I don't get these salesmen who say they will call and then don't. Doubt I'll receive a call tomorrow but I'm not that fussed about giving them the business now.
  4. No call as yet and I don't intend to chase...maybe they're just busy...
  5. I haven't Rich, not yet. That is only a skoda-generated quote. I will wait and see what I am offered and post up.
  6. Pre registered 64 plate but less than 100 miles - apologies if my 'brand new' claim made it seem otherwise. Can I have your thoughts on what you reckon would be acceptable in terms of the total amount payable on a PCP deal? I will need to use some ££££ to account for my p/x being in negative equity so basing a deposit on £500 gives the follow: Duration of Agreement 36 months Contract Mileage 30000 miles First Monthly Payment £405.50 35 Payments of £230.50 Final Payment £6,146.25 Customer Deposit £500.00 Cash Price £12,695.00 Total Amount of Credit £12,195.00 Total Amount Payable £15,119.25 Excess Mileage Rate 14.9 pence per mile APR 8.9% APR Thoughts?
  7. Hi guys, I may have the chance to buy the following car today: http://www.parks.uk.com/skoda/used-cars/4340328-skoda-fabia-fabia-1.4-tsi-v-rs-5dr-dsg-estate/ What do you think of the price? The salesman advised it's had a considerable chunk slashed off it's original RRP. What do you think about residuals? Obviously with them not being made any more I'm a tad concerned when it comes to selling it. Anything else I should consider? We have a german shepherd so the massive boot space really appeals. It's not the best looking estate to my eyes but I know with a few mods I can make it look even better. All advice appreciated. Martin
  8. Hi guys, I almost bought a new Octavia VRs a couple of years ago but ended up in an M135i for a year. I then bought an Abarth 595 which I now want to change for something bigger. I'm considering a Superb as I like the extra luxury over the Octavia and I was wondering when we can expect big savings as dealers push to sell the last of the current model? I haven't yet brought it up with the dealer but will be speaking to them again tomorrow when they give me a p/x price. Cheers, Martin
  9. Does the RRP include metallic paint?
  10. Can someone advise me on the following please: Just looking at the initial deal I was offered: £3500 down £260 x 36 £11566.80 balloon The above totals £24426 against the RRP of £23790 - a difference of £636. Any ideas why this could be given it's 0% - I was advised the figures are a rough indication until tomorrow but just curious as I've only done the Maths there. Cheers, Martin
  11. The grill surround, roof rails and wing mirrors ;-)
  12. Looking forward to testing a manual estate at my local dealer tomorrow with my other half. I'll post up my thoughts tomorrow at some point. Won't be doing the deal there and then if it's a positive test drive - as we plan to consider all options before taking the plunge. If anyone wants me to find out something in particular then I'll do my best to find out if you let me know. Cheers, Martin
