  1. I'm going to see if i can get a code reader tomorrow and also change copper washers on oil feed if none of that works then replace the maf sensor and the oil return pipe. but it wasn't smoking when i had the 4bar map sensor in??? just no boost. thats what is confusing me, surely if it was oil leak it would leak no matter what map sensor was in? unless it has to be under pressure.
  2. hi guys, any advice will be appreciated, i have recently upgraded my turbo, clutch, flywheel, in time for a remap in the near future and the map sensors are driving me crazy. so when i fitted everything i also fitted the 4bar map sensor, only to find the the car won't work properly with it, i had no boost at all although the turbo was spooling. now i have reverted back to the original map sensor i have clouds of white smoke..... what to do now??? i wanted to take a little drive to start bedding the clutch in, will it be ok to do so? and is the white smoke just a by product of it not being tuned yet?
  3. cheers mate that is what i have followed, but i don't have the correct equipment to measure it :( so think ill be popping into a transmission garage after bank holiday and seeing if they can do it for me hopefully they won't charge to much for setting preload, as i have the box split and diff out, and i don't mind putting it back together myself unless the garage want to do it to make sure its all done at the same time and to their standard.
  4. so guys as the title says i need help with the preloads of the diff. I'm in deep here but I've done everything on my car up to date so this is it gearbox is out, diff is out and I'm coming to drilling the crown gear off original diff. so what next? I'm going to order some new bearings as i don't want the hassle of removing the old ones, and I'm guessing i need to replace the race brings too. does anybody know if they come as a kit/pair? Any help in very much appreciated and thank you in advance
  5. Are you still around on the forum mate? Tried to message you but come up with you can't receive new messages?
  6. cheers stevobevo just out of curiosity how much was the gearbox rebuild and do you know what fluid the replaced stock fluid with? and how are the ns2r's thinking about getting some duck how much power and torque you running?
  7. wow didn't know it was that much difference how long have you had the xman setup? where did you get your uprated sachs from before the dmf failed? i really don't want to be paying almost 1000 for it to fail!!!
  8. cheers for the replies duck what clutch setup are you running and where did you source it from? I've spoke to man and he hasn't any clutches at the min think I'm heading towards sachs organic from darkside
  9. Right guys need some help!!! i know this has been covered before but I've done a lot of searching reading and phoning. a lot of my searches have pulled up topics from a few years ago so not sure if anything has progressed since. Ive just made a purchase of a gt1756 hybrid so I'm going to be looking at 220bhp and anything from 330-380ftlb what is going to be the best clutch for daily car with the occasional lead foot. i don't mind a heavier pedal feel, but i don't want an on\off racing style clutch, and preferably as little chatter as possible. so my question is, can the above be done or am i ****ing in the wind and can only have power and torque that i want with a chattery car?
  10. Cheers mate I don't mind the drive to Leeds only in oldham, is there no chance of you keeping it to one side or you just letting the sale continue? Cheers stu
