  1. Sorry I should have updated this post. It was a battery issue (I think this has already been posted by other users on this forum) - The battery was on its way out - Once it was replaced I had no more false alarm issues. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi sorry yes I should have updated this post. The battery was the issue. Disappointed with skoda if I am honest, or the skoda dealer should I say. This was the first time I owned a skoda (superb 2016) and felt let down when the intruder alarm going off in year 3 (2019) also felt let down by skoda East London who took the car in but couldn't find any faults with the alarm - yet this forum is full of posts about the car alarm going off randomly is linked to a weak battery. Called RAC out, they swapped the battery and no more car alarm going off randomly issues. Not sure if I will go for skoda again although the new superb IV hybrid looks tempting.
  3. Thanks for this. I have tried the double lock method but how can I locate / test the bonnet switch? Would you know?
  4. Hi all. I searched long and hard before posting this and I can see so many people having similar issues but I couldn't find anyone having this issue on the new skoda superb? From the other posts that people have reported (octavia, fabia etc) there are varied answers on what may be causing this... 1) low battery 2) air pressure 3) insects I haven't had this issue ever before but now in the last week, the issue has occurred intermittently, sometimes the alarm goes off every two hours or so. I have taken it to the dealer who said there is no fault code and so nothing wrong with the car. I have no faith in this Skoda Dealer if I am honest but what else can I do? Any help would be appreciated
  5. Hi Guys, I was due to order a Superb SE L Exec today but have seen that the new sportline trim is now available. Does anyone have a brochure or a breakdown of exactly what is included on this trim? I found it strange that Skoda have not uploaded their website with a new brochure as the current one does not show this trim. Thanks all!
  6. i dont meant to be cheeky but you get what you pay for, I have decided to go for VW
  7. Thanks, so just to confirm there are no current bulbs which replace the day light running bulbs to a more cooler white?
  8. Hi All, Just wondering if you kind people could list what to be weary about and to check (if possible) before accepting the car. Having read this forum, I can see a range of issues have been mentioned from B pillar trim issues, ratting dashboard and electrical faults etc I am soon to get a new Octavia, God Willing. Thanks
  9. Any news on this? I found this product for the octavia 3 but not sure if it has the daylight running light function? http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-position-light-bulbs-Narva-xenon-blue
  10. Hey guys, What are the function of these lights? do they come on when the car is unlocked only?
  11. Hi Guys, First post so be gentle.... I have spent a good hour on this forum just reading, it is good to find a central hub of skoda owners who share helpful information! I am soon to order a new octavia (god willing), I think I am a lighting enthusiast, and really like changing interior and exterior lights for LEDS or brilliant white lights. I came across this part which suggests mirror downlights for the octavia 3? I cannot seem to find this on the brochure and was wondering if anyone could help? Is this an extra? http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-MEGA-POWER-LED-mirror-downlight-KI-R
