  1. Finally guessed my password right!! Cheers
  2. My heaters don't work properly anyway, the middle two vents don't blow hard when on 4, I'm going to try and top it up with abit more oil and see if that helps it, it's been tapping for months and has never stopped, so I'm moving forward with it as it's only intermittent now
  3. I do love the car, they're amazing cars with nice looks when lowered, I've got a knock too from the front passenger side which I'm guessing is top mount I hope, although my coilovers are abit solid I do love driving it, it's just the tapping noise!!
  4. And yes the clutch is fubar'd clutch slips in higher gears, I can feel the flywheel knocking alittle on idle, I've found a flywheel and clutch at cg motorsport for a reasonable price
  5. Did the good old screwdriver to the rocker cover trick so I'm wondering whether its a sticky tappet? Or injector? I've ruled out that something's worn as the tapping wouldn't go if it were terminal?
  6. Okay so I part ex'd my mk1 octavia vrs in afew months ago to buy number 206 limited edition fabia vrs, I love it, I've had it mapped and it's like **** off a shovel, it now needs a new uprated clutch and I can live with that. Now what I can't live with is the TAPPING noise that gets quicker as the revs get quicker, it's driving me insane!! It was tapping since i bought it so im wondering if the previous owner who is on here knows anything about it? did an oil change yesterday, took it up the motorway for a blast and the tapping noise had completely gone, but now today it's back again?!?! PLEASE HELP!!!!
  7. So I swapped my 53 plate yellow octavia vrs in for a limited edition fabia vrs mk1 all good so far, pleased with how quick it is, feels more than 130 bhp though? Maybe the previous owner had it mapped? Ive got afew things I want to do, spraying the grill and reg plate recess anthracite being the first thing, coilovers and adjustable drop links have been ordered today so hopefully they should be on at the weekend I need to find a decent place to spray the alloys anthracite if anyone knows anywhere in the northwest? I will upload some pictures to this page as soon as I get on my laptop
  8. If I knew where to put the build I would do And yeah I know a lot of people dislike stickers there.
  9. Thanks yeah I live just outside of sandbach, what car do you drive? I've probably seen you too, always car spotting
  10. Hi New to this, seen afew lads and even my dad on here in the past so thought id join up. ive got a yellow octavia vRS mk1, bought it nearly 2 months ago and can happily say im chuffed with it. bagged myself a years warranty from the dealers I bought it from. replaced a breather hose as soon as i got it (done under the warranty) whoever had this before me put wider tyres on the back and spacers just on the back?!?! and also drilled the airbox :( so ive put a BMC drop in panel filter, big mouthed it, and sprayed the front grill black, also a 'its a VAGTHING' Front window sticker I took it to my mates for a Remap and im really happy with the output now, it needs rolling roading, the mapper has claimed about 220BHP. Just ordered 4pc Heko wind deflectors and a cupra R splitter so should come some time next week. Future plans would be a full custom straight through exhaust, Dump valve, Big dirty FMI Tinted windows Spray the alloys a darker colour And lower it on coils
