Had a warning saying emissions workshop, after getting it scanned it was the egr At fault which I replaced and the light went out, but after driving almost 500 miles the engine management light is back on saying emissions workshop, surely it can't be the egr valve again? I know what you mean about the rear seats, there's not much room if the car got rear ended for it to crumple, ideally would like a car still maybe an audi a6 if they are wider inside than the octavia, as well as looking at cars I need to look at a 3rd car seat which will be a booster but ideally one with a back rather than just the base for a bit more safety and comfort Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Started looking at cars similar to the vw touran, like the qashqui+2 and kia sorento, or was thinking a 5 seater that is wider than the octavia, but it's pretty hard finding them. Giving away a child is looking a lot easier than finding the right car Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Currently I've got a 2005 octave elegance 2.0tdi, really happy with the car couldn't ask for more, but we're expecting our third child and there just isn't going to be enough room in the car for 2 adults and 3 baby seats unless on of the kids sat in the front and an adult in the back, the drama is fitting 3 child seats in the back. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? Or will I have to look at a different car? I had a fault code for the egr valve, so today I replaced it with a new one. The engine management light is still on for the fault, tried disconnecting the battery for a while but it didn't clear it. can it be cleared with out vcds? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I've got an engine management light on and a scan shows it to be the egr valve, the egr cleaner I've got says to remove the air filter and spray into the engine while it's idling, but will it be good enough to clear the build up of soot in the egr valve and save me taking it off to clean? You can't go wrong with isofix, so easy and safe, that top tether must make it even safer. Is it only britax that do the top tether? We've got 2 maxicosi bases

Have you got a picture of the top tether? Our bases have both got the prop legs

So what are these tie downs?

I've got 2 isofix car seats in the back of my car and neither of them have a tie down point, they just use the two crab claw looking connectors on the base of the chair on to the isofix points

Posting on behalf of my dad, whilst driving home from work along the city ring road the car began to feel like it was misfiring a little bit then about 50yds down the road it completely cut out and wouldn't restart, He had to call the rac to try and start it using easy start spray, but now he's home it won't start again. Faults read at the road side was pre injection fault but was told it could possibly be egr valve? Any help appreciated Thanks It's a 2.5l on an 05 plate
