  1. Weekend bump Before you know it, it'll be winter. Anybody interested in buying a set of winter tyres and rims?
  2. Yes. They are still looking for a new home Wrong speed rating for the "Jerbear" and wrong size for "Elnigel"
  3. For clarity. The wheels are 7JX ET45, Skoda part number 3C0601027AQ03 The tyre are Michelin Primacy Alpin 205/55/R16 - 91H My phone number if you're interested, is 07799 435646 Thanks Martin
  4. Last autumn, I bought a set of Michelin Alpin winter tyres fitted to steel wheels from Bickerton Skoda. Yesterday I sold the car. The tyres are as new, and the wheels are in pristine condition. I am looking for £300 collected from Glossop. Any one interested in getting ready for winter early?
  5. I've just tried to put an advert in the for sale section, and it says it is only possible to do so for freedom members. What it a freedom member. Do I have to pay a fee to advertise because I've just become an ex Skoda owner.
  6. My Greenline has just had it's 20k service. Before it went in, I was regularly getting 60-70 mpg. It is now only showing mid 40's. Any idea what's going on????
  7. I fill up when the trip meter gets to 600 miles, but there's still enough left for another 100 miles or so.. One of the benefits of having a Greenline.
  8. Since swapping from the standard tyres to winter tyres, my average mpg has dropped to low fifties. I was averaging sixty mpg on the summer tyres. I've got a Superb Greenline with 14000 miles on it. Is it normal for average mpg to drop by that much?
  9. I went there and didn't like the pushy attitude of the sales men. Instead, I bought my Superb from Simpsons of Preston, and can't recommend them highly enough.
  10. Hi Bought a new set of steel wheels from my local dealer for £250 plus a set of winter tyres. The tyres were no dearer than buying from the likes of ATS and Kwikfit. Can't see the point in paying silly money for a second set of alloys, or messing around on ebay looking for a set of second hand ones. Is fitting steel wheels for use through the winter, really such a crime?
  11. I bought a new Greenline Elegance earlier this year, and it had a brolly in the door. Should definitely come as standard kit (in the Elegance anyway)
  12. Just done 400 miles of mostly motorway miles, cruising between 70 and 80......Maxidot says average fuel consumption for the journey was just over 70 mpg. My Greenline is approaching it's first service and is loosening up nicely. Was tempted to buy a 2 litre DSG but chose the Greenline instead for better fuel consumption. No regrets whatsoever!
