hi all.. just a note on noisey windows and judder.due to the hot weather the windows on my octy II have started to make horrible noises when raised and lowered. have cured this by spraying dash dandy to the window channel..its silicon based and allows window now to run smooth with no noise and appars to be quicker due to the lack of friction between glass and rubber..got to be good news as takes load of motors and mechanizme..hope this is of use to all of you:thumbup:

hi all, can some-one shed some light on this for me please...... octavia 11,...2.0 tdi,PD,DSG........2005..... what engine oil goes in these engines...the service interval is for long drain. have looked at shell helix...3 different types,have looked at castrol slx11 and edge 5-30. has to meet vw506 01. am utterly confused by all the designations,reading the owners manual if you put in the wrong oil you have to change your service interval.......bring back duchams 20/50

DR Z...irrespective of the cost i would be up there nose like a rat up a drain pipe,be it £1000.00 or £50.000 a customer is a customer..it sounds like this skoda dealer needs training on how to keep theres. personaly i would now give them a final delivery date and if that is missed then place a penalty on late delivery....when we bought ours the dealer started to mess about but we explained that we were not here to get out of the rain nore were we here because nothing on the t.v...we were here to deal..even then we had to make it clear we new where the door was..and where the next dealer was.from then on in everything perfect.i would now be asking for courtesy car untill things are sorted + further extras to offset my time.....haveing said that its now sunday and i still have the smile on my face....you wont be disapointed i am sure, i know the feeling gillywibble feels like i am in short pants again..chin up DR Z things will come right

well saturday is here,picked up new car this morning and................if this is what skoda is all about....wow....what a vehicle,from the test drive right through to collection,perfect.nothing was to much trouble,coffee on tap and to be honest i havent got rid of the smile since this mornin.this will be my first skoda and if things go on like this it wont be my last....how did you get on dr zoidburg ? haveing fun with yours........................................

does this snake oil reduce the size of toddger,and does it cure athletes foot.....many years ago while working within large fleet,we placed lead pelets into the fuel tanks of a number of seirras.the idea was to replenish the lead content so they could use unleaded without the need for expensive head re-work,bought from a company who claimed it would work.....all it done was burn out valves...you choose...if it sounds to good to be true...it probobly is.

hiya all just a quicky to say hello,have just purchased octavia II elegance 2.0 tdi,dsg hatch, 2005,will collect vehicle on sat.am just browsing to see all the pit falls and tips on owning such a vehicle. am located in wiltshire,and my job is feild service engineer.have just got rid of my 4x4 and am now the proud owner (nearly) of the skoda.if this forum is any-thing like the 4x4 it is very informative for the members.take care all and look forward to your experiances
