Im after having this feature enabled if poss. (switching off automatically)

Is there any way to set the HU to power off automatically once i remove my key from the ignition like most cars do. At the mo, i have to switch off the HU manually. Just annoying really ! I have the Octy mark 1 (2002)

disconnected power and left for a minute then re-connected. Reseted ok and now works fine. Cheers !

Ah rite, may do that. HU does have a reset i think. Where would i find the power cable for the changer ?

Normally when i eject the magazine and re-insert, it always re-loaded as i could here it initialising. Now, its silent. Thinks maybe a hardware issue ?

how do i get into it ??

Gotta problem were my changer has decided not to play anymore. When i press "cd" on the radio facia it just displays "cd 0 track 63" !!! - Cant get it to work. Can anyone shed any light on this? I have the octy mark 1. thx

57k my car has done and its just a single knock as soon as i apply the brakes at slow speed.

When i press the brake pedal to come to a stop i hear a noise coming from the engine or maybe the front wheels not sure, kinda like a knocking sound. Only a very quick and sudden noise but thought i'd mention it to see what you thought. Cheers

Does anyone know if this is normal ? whenever i push down on the passenger / drivers side suspension, it squeaks. It happens from every corner so not just one spring etc. Any thoughts ? Cheers guys

Anyone know how to elliminate squeeky brakes? its driving me mad. It only seems to happen when i drive slow and gently pressing the brakes. Checked the pads and they dont need changing.

Hi All, Ive just picked up my new Octavia 2.0 Elegance so im hoping you guys can answer my questions as im new to all this ! My car has a factory cd multichanger and head unit and im after keeping my changer but replacing my HU. Question is, do i have to buy a cassette HU in order for it to work with my current changer ? i would of thought fitting a single cd HU would conflict my with my changer. Thanks in advance.
