  1. All those people singing hymns in the back of your car.... Radio2 on a Sunday morning. I feel for you Bro. ... I mean Aled Jones an all.....
  2. It depends on the spec of the car. The only other button I have on that row is boot opening. I only asked for a vRS button. Here's the full row.
  3. Yeah. It's actually a full row although there's only one button. If I want something I'm happy to spend money to get it.
  4. Just picked this up from Sparshatts. It's an early crimbo present from the Wife. Now then, how the hell do I fit it.....

  6. A safety feature designed for a bridge, on a rh bend, taking it slowly in 3rd gear. Wow, I love my car. Or maybe the car was travelling faster than the gearbox and you've had a bit of lag, a stumble if you will....
  7. Oh yeah going into your photo bucket account to look at the pics sent me to a w4nk website. Just thought you should know I've been 'stuck' there for 2 hours. Lol. No seriously - it did.
  8. It's awful - you've given the boot an underbite! Looks like Bob from Dino paws. ..
  9. 2 hour drive home in a vRS, it's a no brainer for me.
  10. Checked my new struts this morning. There is a fine sheen of oil on one. I rang up and the technician said it was silicone grease from when he installed them. Wipe it off and it'll be fine. I said I'd monitor it.... They're date stamped 06/10/2014.
  11. Mine went in yesterday. They fitted the nearside strut but the new offside one was faulty so they ordered another. That replacement was done today. Good service all round.
  12. How does the rain get in? The brake light is practically pointing downwards. I would have suggested the seal between the top of the rear spoiler and the boot lid.
  13. There's a drawer you say? (Runs outside for a butchers...)
  14. Yeah probably. The dealer principle, Steve Cross is big on customer service. If I'm not happy he wants to know. But when I ring up and say the struts are leaking oil - it's pretty much a foregone conclusion.
  15. I used to have the same blue 1.6 Ghia albeit a 3 door. Loved it. Watching the video might answer that 'was it put in by man or machine' question when a fault arises such as steering/suspension issues and low frequency boom - is the vent correctly positioned/ fitted etc.
  16. No probs. Looking back at my reply - it could have seemed a bit 'short', but wasn't intended so.
  17. I don't normally post anymore on a tuning thread because of the constant arguments but regarding trying to fool/fraud the dealer after a power increase made me think of my Mk4 Golf. It was whistling excessively when i was accelerating normally. I thought it was the turbo and took it to Peter Cooper in pompey. They couldn't find a fault and gave it back to me. Whilst paying the bill, the guy on the desk asked if it had been chipped because the technician found it more powerful during the test drive. It has 130 bhp at the wheels. He obviously didn't know that until he drove it. Did the Superchips 'chip' show up? Maybe not, I'll never know. Anyway, it turned out to be hole in the flexible exhaust joint found during an MOT.
  18. On my vRS, I press the CAR button on my amundsen, then press Setup, then press Service, it tells me when the next service and oil change is. 425 days/ 12800 miles from now. I too am QI6.
  19. I rang Sparshatts this morning and they've ordered 2 replacements and the car is booked in to start the warranty claim process. Good customer service.
  20. Just read this thread and went out to check ours. The car has just hit 7089 miles. Oil on both struts - the nearside being the worst. Last weekend I washed the car and I always wipe the struts with a damp cloth. There was no oil on them then. This will be the first fault we've had.
  21. My Mum's Mk4 150 PD was a Gti. Maybe the mk7 is the same?
