  1. I so wish they’d put the 1.0T 115 in the Citigo or even the 90. I’d snap their hand off and I’m sure many others would too. I think the Citigo is the better looking car of the three but it’s just a shame you can’t get a bit more oomph .
  2. No problem pal, glad you get it sorted.
  3. If all you need is 1ltr of Castrol then you can have the bottle in my boot, it's Castrol Edge Professional, Long Life III 5W-30, 504 00 / 507 00. If you are over on the West Coast let me know and you're welcome to it.
  4. Great bit of info there Wino. Cumbrian28, a bit like yourself I wasn't too impressed when I realised Border had used the shell oil when for some reason, rightly or wrongly, I too had expected Castrol. However after a bit of research and reading reviews on the Shell oil at the time (the particular one used in my VRS) it seemed it was very good stuff which was highly rated and after 2 years and around 20k running with it in it has been faultless. The car is due a service now but is getting traded in in the next week or so but even now if I take out the dipstick the oil feels 'good', not 'thin & worn' like you might expect from a car due service. I would be more than happy continue to see the Shell in my motors going forward and as they give you a litre of oil for top ups there's not even any issues (more of an OCD thing with me) with having to mix oils if a top up is needed.
  5. Hi Cumbrian28, assuming you went to Border Cars? they do use Shell oils and have done for a while but they should be the correct VAG standard. Whenever they carry out a service they always leave a litre bottle of oil in the car for you to keep for top ups which will be the standard for you vehicle (same as they used in the service). I find this a nice touch but as I've never had to top up any of our cars I have quite a few of these now in different standards from my mk3 Octavia VRS, the wife's old Citigo and her current Fabia Monte Carlo.
  6. Cheers pal, I called into Halfords yesterday to pick up some bit and pieces and I checked the compatibility book they have in store whilst there and as you say they're no good unfortunately. I think I'll purchase a set of Skoda bars and I've very tempted by the Hapro Softbox due to the ease of storage.
  7. Does anyone know if the Halfords System E Roof Bars will fit the Yeti? Also would a Thule Pacific 700 be too long for the Yeti? (232cm long) Cheers
  8. Thanks for the heads up Svend, great to know. I look on DW quite a bit but never joined up and have a few Gtechniq products on my wishlist
  9. Clean Your Car have the Italian made Snow Foam Lance on offer at the moment, £34.95 (usually £44.95) and I have their own Super Snow Foam which is £15.95 for 5 litres.
  10. Well car was built last week and can see the EMS Highway coming into Grimsby, from Emden, right now. Fingers crossed the new car is on there.
  11. Hope they manage to shave a few weeks off the original date for you ernieb. That's interesting, I've been told mine is a MY17 build and is supposed to be built this week (21). Either way hope both of ours are here soon
  12. Also noted this statement on the Yeti page; Please note our car configurator reflects the new Model Year 17 (MY17) specifications and pricing. The remainder of the site reflects the previous MY16 specifications (including fuel efficiency and emissions performance) and pricing, which are still available from stock. If you use the car configurator or order a new MY17 ŠKODA, please be aware that some differences in specification and price will occur. Please speak to your local ŠKODA retailer if you have any queries.
  13. Anyone heard any updates on the MY17 dates? I waited 4 weeks for a build date and the dealer said this was due to waiting for the MY17 builds. I now have a build week of next week, week 21, so is my car likely to be a MY17 Yeti as my dealer has suggested or a MY16 build? Don't really mind either way, purely a curiosity thing as to what changes there may be to the brochure.
  14. Hi Phil, I am currently in Edinburgh for the weekend. I can check with the post office on postage early next week when I get back and let you know?
  15. I have a genuine Skoda VRS branded boot liner, as new condition and looking for £25. also Skoda Octavia Boot Net System, hardly used and looking for £20. Or would sell both for £40. Collection from West Cumbria strongly preferred but postage would be considered at extra cost to the buyer. Cheers Mike
