  1. Has anyone tried this map update. It says it is fresh. Nov 2013, is it too good to be true? It says: Up-to-date navigation maps for your Skoda Columbus New map release – November 2013 Reach your destination faster with Skoda! Terry http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site/es_GB/-/GBP/View-Promo?&cwt=application/ApplicationFrame_campaign_light&&Page=Skoda-Landing-Page-MIB-Columbus&&NewDomainName=Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site&
  2. On the 4 yr old Elegance I am picking up I get year five as part of the deal, Skoda warranty for years 6&7 will cost £695 with RAC cover Terry
  3. Finally I have got a Superb. Been looking for a while and just put a deposit on one: June 2009 Elegance 140 DSG 14,900 miles. 7 months tax left. I owner. 2 services and 2 MOT's with no advisory notes. Rosso Brunello Metallic with a Ivory Beige Leather interior and 'wood' trim. Rear window blind. Two brand new front tyres. They will do full software and map upgrade. It had no spare but got one added. They have committed to cam belt due to age despite low mileage. Immaculate and love the DSG. £12,600 all in The wife loves it. Terry
  4. I am going to be in the market for a Superb in the next 4 weeks. My problem is that I am a kayak angler and will often be carrying two kayaks on roof bars with a total weight of about 75kgs. I would prefer a saloon but I am unsure just how good roof bars are on saloons. I have read that they have a capacity of 100kgs. Are they really secure with that load? Do you trust them? I have always been wary of saloon roof bars but if you can reassure me then I will buy with confidence. However if it is not a safe option I will have to dig a bit deeper and 'reluctantly' go for the estate version. Thanks. Terry
  5. It just says for Skoda Columbus here: Have I wasted several hours downloading? http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site/es_GB/-/GBP/View-Promo?&cwt=application/ApplicationFrame_campaign_light&&Page=Skoda-Landing-Page-MIB-Columbus&&NewDomainName=Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site&
  6. No Mike Open question. Looks like a full install then if it is less than an hour. Thanks. Terry
  7. Don't worry Mike you don't need to understand the techy side. Basically it means under normal conditions the drive is split into three parts of pre=determined sizes, one for maps, one for personal points of interests and one for your music. I thought I might save space but apparently not but would it still load without Holland, France etc and if so I guess it would load quicker than the full Euromaps? Out of interest how big is the 'music' partition? Terry
  8. I have just downloaded V9 maps from NavTeq. I see that it fully covers the whole of Europe. I am never going to drive abroad so is it possible to delete everything but UK & Eire to save time installing and HD space? Terry
