Just collected our second top of the range Citigo from Allams. The handover of the first car was getting tedious as Skoda Finance (on the phone) were insisting I pre-pay the MOT (not due till next month) and retain insurance cover for several more weeks. This was hardly convenient as the cover was being transferred from old car A to new car B. At this point Linda Feast, seeing me getting frustrated, took the phone, agreed the final payment with them, and told them she would buy our Skoda there and then. Boom! Linda to the rescue... Her foot was feeling better too.

On my motorcycle Garmin I am seeing new M-waysin Spain that don't feature on Google Earth's 2013 imaging - other than scars on the countryside where construction work is underway...

The original 'Relaax' messages came through after I tested the alarm to go off at more than 10mph over the speed limit... If you then also set the alarm for upcoming speed cameras, then (logically) that 10mph threshold is ignored and you get the less laid back warnings mentioned above. At least I think that's what's going on...
-
Or if you have speed camera alerts on as well...

Isn't that (death) rattle simply telling you the revs are too low? I suspect the engine needs to be in a lower gear, or the clutch slightly slipped to keep the rpm up... At only 200 miles am still running in my little 'Schkood', and therefore keeping rpms well away from those lower limits.

Maybe BJ14 should meet my Citigo, which is a DFK... I'm sure they'd get on well :p

Interesting. My wife commented that the car wouldn't start the other day. But did after a few tries. I always depress the clutch first as a matter of course. Perhaps she didn't that time. I'll let her know...

Am loving our new Citigo Elegance and was experimenting with the PID/Garmin's speed limit alert... I had already hooked up my S4 to play music (via bluetooth) but was surprised to hear the music volume lower amd this mysterious voice say 'Relaax' as I inadvertently went above the limit. Made me smile. And slow down. Nick (Citigo owner at last)

"Schkood" - not sure why, but Mrs S has started calling it that...
-
Likewise. Having started this thread long before I had my Citigo I will shortly also be bringing car doors and rubber strips together

Interesting. Our Elegance (collected on Thu) has the push down for reverse, but more than that it has a noticeably smooth and light gear change. My worries, after reading some of the threads over recent months, was that engaging first or reverse could be baulky. So far anything but. Redesign or plain luck? Whatever

Just ordered some myself - after finally collecting my white Elegance GreenTech yesterday morning. Not bad considering it was ordered in early Sept last year...

Mine arrives at dealer tomorrow. It was build date week 8 but then slipped to week 10. Ordered early September last year...

Mine's built and on it's way - woohoo!

Agree - very cool look...
