We've done around 1500miles in our 220 SE-L hatch now. Loving the car so far, great engine, bags of power and a very comfy drive. With regards to economy we mostly do short drives, around 2.5miles with several roundabouts and sets of lights, so far averaging low to mid 20s. Have done a few longer runs too and the max we've seen so far is 35mpg. I estimated about 8-10mpg less than our 1.4TSI DSG Occy when we bought the car and so far it's about spot on.

The best I've had so far was an indicated 55mpg (typically over-reads by ~2.2mpg) over a 40 mile A-road journey driving sensibly, ie not like a granny but not like my usual lunatic self. I've recently returned an indicated 44mpg on a 280 mile round trip motorway journey with some proper quickness at times. The car has just under 6k on the clock and so far I've been able to meet and beat the economy I used to get in my S-Max 2.0 TDCi, although to be fair it was a much heavier car, same power output but more torque and the economy for a diesel was very poor, mainly down to the way I drove it.

Hello everyone, first time poster here. Ordered an Elegance hatch, Race Blue 1.4TSI with sports suspension and paddle shift wheel on the 13th of September. I phoned up Skoda last Friday and they said it was at Emden waiting to be shipped I have no idea why it's so quick and TBH it's taken me a bit by surprise as I wasn't expecting it for ages after reading about the delays on here. It seems to be a complete lottery.
