  1. for anyone following and because I cant find any solved threads on this, Think I now may have solved the problem or the garage rather injector 1 looks to be stuck closed.. will find out tomorrow when that gets replaced £300 lighter however
  2. futher updates to this had VCDS hooked up fault codes p2177, p0300 & p0301. Blocks 002 seemed fine, 030 sensor 2 fluctuating as it should sensor 1 not fluctuating just sat at 00111. Block 032 idle was between -1 & -4% partial was at 25% cleared codes went back into block 032 with car running no reading for partial and it crept up from 0% to 5.7% then sat between 4-5% Block 030 sensor 2 working sensor 1 was mainly sitting at 00111 ocasionaly fluctuating. Took spark plugs out and can saftley say its running rich coil number 3 and plug 3 had oil on it, done a compression test and was spot on put plugs and coils back in then took the pack off the coils 1 at a time and they engine changed note as it should each time.

My friend came round today with his genuine VCDS hooked it up and got these fault codes P2177 system too lean off idle, P0300 random multiple misfire & P0301 misfire on cylider 1. looked at some of the blocks i.e 002 seemed fine, 030 sensor 2 was fluctuating as it should sensor 1 was just sat at 00111, block 032 idle was fluctuating between -1 - -4 and partial was sitting at 25% cleared the codes and went back to block 032 no reading for partial and idle was sitting around 4 to 5% I have had the car smoke tested and visualy inspected the hoses all seem to be in good condition. so if anyone can make any sense of that or point me in some direction much appreciated it is a tfsi vrs I have changed evap canister and n80 changed the pcv and cam follower
  4. Hi all I have a fault code on my 2007 Octavia vrs tfsi P0171, 008567 Bank1 system too lean off idle. I have recently changed the Evap Canister as a fault code relating to that came on at the same time (which is now sorted) I then changed the PCV valve and also the cam follower and still the fault came back visually inspected all the pipes looked fine, had a smoke test done and everything is fine no leaks. I'm running out of ideas and patience. My intake system is EVOMS which was already on the car when I got it so if I'm to do the Maf sensor I'm guessing its not as easy as going to the dealers, and I cant find this anywhere. Also been told to check fuel pump G6 only fuel pump I know of is the hpfp is that right? I have searched the net and found that mostly what I have listed above is what people suggest and cant find a thread where this issue has been resolved. Thanks for any replys

Well there has been a few updates I fitted a Cupra R splitter which was a ball ache to get lined up, I have also had the roof wrapped gloss black and I have bought a Golf R intercooler (not yet fitted). Oh and because I am a pratt! I have also added to the shopping list. You can just make out the splitter The Intercooler laquer peel on the rear bumper :'( The updated shopping list Wheels need refurbed due to alloy gators trapping water and causing corrosion and bubbling Rear bumper need sprayed Whole front end need sprayed due to amount of stone chips Source and fit Intercooler pipes Fit PCV and a revision G DV Replace charcoal canister Book Remap with R-tech

  9. I have purchased the intercooler from the golf r/leon cupra r 1k0 145 803 BP just wondering if anyone can help with what pipes I will need for this and maybe advice on how to fit it? cheers in advance
  10. well I need to replace the charcoal canister and I am also looking at replacing the pcv system genuine parts cost is £84 for the charcoal canister and £92 for the pcv system I can pick them up on ebay and aliexpress for £25-£30 question is has anyone had any problems going the cheap route i.e throwing up faults because the parts are crap etc?
  11. will be looking at upgrading my HPFP soon just want to know what options are available to me I can only seem to find APR and a one that looks like it will require me to take my FP apart myself. If people do have recommendations does anyone have any experience of upgrading theirs?

Wanting to lower my 2007 vrs on 30mm springs I have been told the standard shocks wont be up to the job so I suggested new standard shocks to which I was told they still wont be up to the job as they would wear out quicker. I was told I should be looking at bilstein b12 shocks but looking at the price of these and springs then fitting I might aswell pay the extra few hundred and get air ride. Is there anything just as good up to the job slightly cheaper that wont affect comfort. Im not looking for the cheapest as I am Aware you get what you pay for.
  13. Ok so wor lass is after a golf mk4 1.4 but within her price range they are all over 100,000 miles, we wont buy anything unless it has full service history. Alot of people are saying to avoid the 1.4 over 100,000 miles but when we ask why we get nothing back in response other than look at the 1.6 or gti or tdi.. the whole reason at looking at the 1.4 is because she can afford the insurance, but i dont want her buying something that is only going to last 2 mins. So the question is does anyone know why we should avoid the 1.4? any help is appriciated thanks

  15. How easy or hard is it to replace the standard coolant hoses to silicone ones? I have used the search bar above and used google all I seem to be finding is people arguing over which brand is better etc.. the car is an Octavia vrs tfsi any help and advice is appreciated thanks.
