  1. Just got one from here http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Centre_Arm_Rest_(Fabia_08%3E14)_DAO700001 really easy to fit & as stevebedford has stated, took about 40mins being really careful and reading the instructions a few times just to be sure lol, they are a little heavy on the price but the quality & fit is perfect, one thing that threw me was joining the alloy bracket to the alloy lower part of the armrest with an allen bolt that looks like there is no receiving thread that it goes into, its just a bare hole, none the less it worked and does what its supposed to do, just seams strange to have a threaded bolt and no female threaded counterpart lol
  2. how much for just the wheel & tyre please, I don't need the other stuff as I already have it, cheers
  3. As per title, here i have a set of H&R Lowering springs (40mm drop) for a Fabia Mk2 (5J) Diesel 1.6, Very good condition having only been on my car for approx 2500 miles, comes in original box, Looking for £65 posted, thanks
  4. Initial thoughts on the grain problem is that if your in full auto mode then maybe that includes auto ISO which will compensate for lower light conditions, I generally set my D700 to ISO 200 and leave it there for most occasions, as Littleade has stated "P" mode is probably your best to start off with and it will give you a very good start point with regard to image quality, the 1 to 1 lessons will be a good start as well. As you may of probably realised its quite an in depth hobby and it takes a long time to get your head around learning and being competent with the camera whilst also having to learn about depth of field, composition etc, then in among all that as well you have to learn Photoshop or any other photo editing program you choose lol, bit of a headf**k but its deffo worth keeping at as when it all comes together the results are really excellent. My take on it is learn a little........often, I also found a really good site a few years ago called kelbytraining.com and it has a multitude of professionals who make videos for the site, whether they be Pro Photographers for whatever subject takes your fancy (ie) weddings, Wildlife, Landscapes etc & there's Photoshop guru's as well as a host of other topics and the best is that you can learn at your own pace, its a pay monthly thing $20 I think which equates to about £13, which I feel is nothing for the quality of what's on offer ( hahaha no I dont work for them :-) ) hope this helps in some way.
  5. Hi Rich, can I just ask what you used the d3200 for (ie) happy snaps in full auto mode or did you delve into the manual operation, understanding the workings of the camera etc?
  6. Nice work on the Yeti Darrell, gives an insight for others wanting to do a bit of modding :-), by the way have you ever thought of putting a Front Strut brace on? its an absolutely cracking bit of kit for handling and relatively cheap too, I added one (on the recommendation of a friend) to one of my vehicles that had coilovers, rarb and farb etc and the difference it made was brilliant, the turn in was so much sharper.
  7. Hi, I have a set of Front and Rear Mud Flaps for a Fabia Hatchback (5j) mk2, i bought them in error as they will not fit on the Monte Carlo albeit the site didn't state they wouldn't fit at the time of purchase Do'h, (note to self "research on the forum before buying anything" lol) they were bought from Horton Skoda http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Mudflaps_Front_-_Fabia_2008%3E2013_Hatch%26Estate_KEA700001 http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Mudflaps_Rear_-_Fabia_2008%3E2013_Hatchback_KEA710001 These cost me £45 with delivery looking for £35 delivered, cheers regards Ray
  8. Unfortunately Andrew Im not in the North East as you know otherwise Id of gladly helped out pretty sure there must be someone with a 1.6 in your area.
  9. The only thing with the polished face is they get spiders legs running under the top coat and look gash, especially with cheaper wheels, if they where made by a top make they would stand up to it better and last longer, my own personal opinion is they do look very Halfords & blingy, you may be doing the Monte an injustice by fitting them.
  10. Thats the UK fecked then :( , shame too as I really like them.
  11. I was wondering what the standard wheel size is for the 1.6tdi and do they use the same 5 speed box including ratio's across the range?, the only reason I ask is when looking for wheel & tyre alternatives and using a tyre size calculator, if I go off the size I have 205/40/17 and go for say 215/35/18 which is 2% difference which is fine but if the standard size from the factory is say 185/60/16 then this puts me at a 3.3% difference which is outside the recommended specs, cheers.
  12. There's also the problem of the reversing light and fog light are on the wrong side, maybe they do a UK version?
  13. Ive never had any of my wheels balanced with the spacers attached and I suspect that if you had no wobble issues with the other wheels then it can only need a re-balance of the now front wheels, just on a side note I did have a problem very similar to yours once when the tyre guy just put my wheels on and tightened the bolts up in a clockwise way and I had a slight wobble, it took me 3 re-balances to find out the problem so I loosened the bolts off and re-tightened them in the correct order making sure to centralise the wheel, it turns out that although id bought hubcentric spacers with the correct CB measurement it was very slightly out, hope this helps.
  14. WOW what an epic thread  well done that man, your car looks sick , just out of interest what does a used air kit go for? I really like the idea of it.
  15. Cheers Sparkly, just been to the AKS site and dropped him a message, hopefully I can jump on the back of the group buy with any luck
  16. Will the H&R springs be a straight fit on a monte carlo or ideally will I need to replace the dampers aswell, cheers
  17. cheers John, I will ask the question
  18. It does and the wheels fill the arch just right imo, just what I'm looking for, dont really want to go down the coily route if I can help it, been there and done it, and with my job they dont seem to last very long.
  19. Hi, just wondering if there's anyone on the forum doing SMD conversions?
  20. What mm drop H&R springs are/were on it?
