  1. I had an Octavia VRS MK3 from new in October but unfortunately didn't keep it very long, however before I sold it my drivers seat was doing the same thing. It wasn't too bad but could see it getting considerably worse over time!
  2. I covered 9k miles in mine (have since sold it) but had no problems with my cc. Standard cc.
  3. Skoda Octavia VRS TDi DSG MK3 Estate in Candy White. 8700 miles, used daily. I've owned this vehicle from brand new (October 2013). It has been carefully driven and looked after. The alloy wheels are perfect (no imperfections at all) as is the exterior/interior. It has 3 years manufacturers warranty from October 2013, 3 year dealer service pack (10K services I believe). Black style pack, cruise control, spare wheel (options added). Genuine reason for sale, great reliable motor. Very practicle being an estate. Any test welcome (although you will need to prove you are insured). Feel free to message/e-mail [email protected] text/call 07858 517910 with any questions. £20,995
  4. I'm struggling to get much more than 400 miles per tank here. VRS estate TDI DSG. I think i'm averaging mid forties per gallon. I do get more on a run. Recently I drove from the midlands up to Glasgow and Dundee and didn't get much more than 400 miles out of a tank (around 430 ish i think). Maybe i'm too heavy footed.
  5. http://bit.ly/19gsX1o I also ordered the GB plates for it as the dealers ones wouldn't fit and look better in my humble opinion!
  6. Hi mate got the surrounds from eBay. I'll post up the link when I'm on the computer. They weren't expensive and easy to fit!!
  7. I done mine in about twenty minutes. Easy job and looks much better IMHO!! Before....... After...........
  8. Cheers it looks even better when clean!!
  9. Here are a couple of rubbish pics. Before........ And after.......
  10. Here is mine.....need to dust out my DSLR and get a decent pic of her........
  11. Done and dusted!!! That was quite tricky! The mirror caps..... easiest part. Popped the mirror off carefully, flat blade screw driver in and the cap pops off. Replaced and carefully clipped back into place! The grille.......not so easy! Very fiddly (for a complete novice). Wasn't bothered about breaking the silver one, although it isn't a nice job to do. Used a flat blade screw driver (good old trusty flat blade screw driver!) to undo the top clip, then pushed one corner out, whilst pulling the front part out. Ended up snapping the silver gril into about a million pieces, but was too tight to pay for the dealer to do it, and didn't really want to take the whole bumper off. All in all, good job. Looks much better in my humble opinion. I did try to order it after seeing loads on here with it, but mine was already being built by the time I asked about it. Superskoda were really good. Ordered the parts (around £108) and they came very quickly. Good job! Will post up some pics tomorrow when it is a bit brighter! Cheers, Mozz
  12. I've ordered the parts (black grill surround and mirror covers). They are sitting here at work on my desk......Am I going to be able to nip out and fit them in my lunch break? :-) Not keen on paying Skoda to do them. Has anyone else done the mirrors?
  13. I think there is definitely a fault with it. Mine has done it a few times, once it was quite bad and required me knocking off the ignition and re starting the car! I am going to mention mine to my dealership when it goes in, in the meantime I won't be using Eco mode!!
  14. I'm well pleased with my mk3 VRS estate DSG. Covered over 2 miles now with no problems! Love driving it, feels like a great car and I've had plenty of other brands (ford/VW/BMW/Mazda etc). One of my favourite points is unlocking it at night when the lights come on!! People stare at it as it looks so good in my humble opinion!!! Very practical motor, plenty of poke and great family car!!! ????
  15. I've done 1700 miles in mine as seats are very comfy! I love the 19" extremes but the ride is hard enough with my standard 18" gemini's.
  16. Hi, Has anyone else with a VRS noticed that when sitting in the drivers seat the right hand side has a slight squeak when the leather effect (what ever it is called) rubs on the plastic part of the seat? I noticed mine as soon as I driven it out of the dealership. The dealerships demo models do it too with me or the sales guy inside it. Anyone else noticed it too in theirs?
  17. Highly recommend it. We've just bought one for the mrs. The 1.2 tsi is plenty pokey enough (I didn't drive it on the test drive) but really impressed. The seats are very comfortable, sat nav, Bluetooth, we got the DAB radio thrown in for free as they advertised it with DAB! Ride is very comfortable. I have the Octavia 3 VRS, which is a much harder ride, tbh I love getting into the Fabia.
  18. We've had ours for just about 2 weeks now!! Lovely motor and the mrs is really pleased with it. we went for the 1.2 tsi 105 and it's perfect for us. Plenty of poke whilst maintaining a good fuel economy.
  19. Absolutely! I just mean rough workings out on how many miles on average people get to a tank. Just wanted to see if I was getting 'similar' to other fellow VRS owners. I get a car allowance which pays for the car/running costs of it, then pence per mile which covers my business mileage. Just wanted to see if I was in the same region as everyone else, which it appears I probably am! :-)
  20. 43.8 miles to a tank? Lol! I was just wondering what people roughly get out of a tank of fuel (amount of miles). For me that's the bit that counts as my work pay me pence per mile. I'm not bothered about mpg as I know what I can get out of mine all depending on how it's driven!
