Hi all, Sorry haven't been on here in a good while. Well my Octy failed its NCT (MOT in Ireland) last week. It needs a nearside wishbone which is no problem but it also failed on the rear lights. The rear fog light is illuminating (all be it very slightly) under braking! I've located the earthing point for the lights and gave it a good clean. It had some corrosion on it but the problem is still there! Has anyone come across this before? Where does one go from here? Brake switch maybe? Cheers Keith

Sorry Tech1e it's the steering control module, changed it as I had a high beam problem that it was causing Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk

I swapped the steering wheel angle sensor module for a different one (same part no's etc) the old one had problems, new one is 100% except the cruise control now doesn't operate. Can I get the car coded to recognise the Cruise Control or am I without CC now!? Thanks

Hi all, I swapped out the steering angle sensor module as previous one was acting up got a salvaged part which was 100% (matching part number) so all went well until I start up and now I've an airbag fault! I know the airbag is ok as it didn't show a fault previously, so how do I rectify this? Can I disconnect the battery to clear to car's memory or is it a plug in job? Hi all, Looking at the possibility of chaging the Steering Wheel in my Mk2 Octy vRS to a Flat Bottom one. My question is will the VW Golf Mk5 GTI wheel fit and Will it take the Octy's airbag? (they look similar) wanna swap non MFSW to non MFSW Cheers

Hi guys, I know there's multiple threads here on the topic but this one's a little strange, I've a pre FL Octy 2008 registration and I just installed allegedly canbus friendly led number plate lights, surprise surprise they don't work but there's no dash warning light! There doesn't seem to be a fault, the car was plugged in and the bcm was gettin a signal to activate the near side indicator when the high beams were activated Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk

Update: Got new stalk fitted but the problem is still there! Any idea how much a new body control module costs? And where is it in the car? Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk

I've bitten the bullet and purchased a new stalk €50 seems reasonable to put an end to this hassle, I got the car plugged in and the stalk switch is sending the wrong signal to the body control module so it's definitely the stalk causing the problem, I've a guy to fit it as a nixer lined up Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk

I don't think i'm technically minded enough to tackle this so i'm just going back to the garage that sold me the car (I've only had it a month anyway) He can sort it, Thanks for all the help / insight guys.

Ok so I've followed the how to guide and cleaned the cruise control assembly, no joy, the problem persists, the problem seems to be where the stalk meets the steering colum, how do I strip that down, I'm certain it's a bad contact in there somewhere Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk now Free
