    Hi all, I changed my gearbox a little while back after having synchro problems. However the box i changed to have the usual 5th gear whine, been driving it for 20k miles and it has got no worse! Anyways I am weighing up my options and wanted opinions please; 1) Get this box reconditioned and spend time off the road 2) Buy a used box 3) Buy an already reconditioned box 4) Ignore it and carry on 5) Attempt the 'bodge' repair that I have seen some reference too (bearing repair with box in situ) 6) Any other options...

    Morning all! Strange one. On my way in this morning I pulled the stalk for front wash hoping it had defrosted by then but no such luck, just a wipe with no fluid. So carried on my journey and tried again further on. Now if I pull the front wash it wipes the rear wipe goes once and nothing else. Up and down on the stalk does nothing at all, no wipe etc Any ideas? Obvious fuses etc

    I changed to a SMF and had to change the clutch to a specific SMF one, it had different bolt sizes and all sorts. I changed back to a DMF and new clutch again because the vibrating on idle got on my nerves. Thinking of selling the SMF setup actually...
