Passenger side door electrics not working
So update, I had to change the regulator in the front passenger door as it and the window motor were bad. That has solved all the issues in that door. I moved onto rear passenger side door. When I took the door card off I noticed 2 things one wire had some electrical tape wrapped around it so potentially a previous repair and the main connector was just hanging not plugged in! I plugged it in and was delighted window working immediately, unfortunately central locking still not working in that door. Does anyone know what colour the wire is so I can check if it's the wire with the previous repair. Also it may be nothing but I think I can hear a kind of chirping or faint siren type noise from the rear passenger side of the car. It has a towbar and socket. I have plugged out to towbar relay/wiring box as it's making noises when indicating and braking as if I'm towing.

Passenger side door electrics not working
Thanks Pete I think that's my next job. Couldn't get the door panel off today as I didn't have a long enough torx screwdriver for the grab handle. My final job is the rear windscreen wiper isn't working, I've already replaced the motor but it's still not moving so starting to think maybe it's the boot locking mechanism not registering the boot as closed. I wonder which part has the sensor in it the part attached to the boot or the car ?

Thanks Pete I already had a good look at the rear passenger side loom and seems to be intact. Does anyone know if the rear doors have a their own door control module?

Passenger side door electrics not working
Thanks a lot for the help Alasdair. I've made some progress. I checked all door wiring rooms again I found one wire in the driver's door that will need attention soon but still functional so decided to move on to next possible problem. I replaced the front passenger window motor and door control module. All of the electrics in the front drivers door are now alive and well thankfully. Rear door still completely dead. Is the rear passenger door the same , had a window motor/control module all in one? If so I think I'll replace this next. Nearly there fingers crossed and only cost €30 so can't complain.

Passenger side door electrics not working
Passenger windows, passenger central locking front and back and wing mirror controls all not working along with the rear wiper. I might peel the cloth wrap of some of the wiring harness in the door connector and inspect more. Thanks a lot.

Passenger side door electrics not working
Thanks a lot Alasdair, I have checked the door pillar wiring loom where comes through the rubber boot into the door. I might need to have a look inside the door. I actually changed the wiper motor and it looked like it had been changed quite recently but neither are working which led me to thinking that it might be linked to the wiring/control module problem. Interestingly the washer jet is working but I think that is on a different control module.

Thanks a million Mike. I tried but there is a chance that the cheap app isn't able to clear the dtcs. I ordered a new cable for VCDS, might have to wait for that. Thanks for your suggestion.

Passenger side door electrics not working
Hi guys, recently bought a 2009 Octavia Mk2 in very good condition, has only done 150k kms and is very clean generally but it has a few small bits that need sorting. Main issue is the passenger door electrics front and back aren't working, also the rear wiper. I had similar problems with my mk2 Superb and was door wiring loom both times. I have checked all the wiring looms in the door boot and there doesn't appear to be any obvious broken wires. Did a scan with a cheap app as cant find my old wire for VCDS and I go the following fault codes. ---------------------------- 01332 [0x0534] Front passenger door control unit-J387; Door control unit, passenger side-J387 Status: Test conditions are met, Validated and stored in non volatile memory, Validated fault present at time of request ---------------------------- 01333 [0x0535] Rear Left Door Control Module-J388; Door control unit, rear left-J388 Status: Test conditions are met, Validated and stored in non volatile memory, Validated fault present at time of request 42. Is it still likey to be the wiring harness or should I just change the front passenger door control module?
