Mine is a 1.4TSi L&K 4x4, mpg is around 32-34 but thats mostly town driving. PCP is up in about 3 months so starting to think my options, I fancy a 2WD petrol with DSG but there doesnt seem to be any exciting deals around at the moment.
-
An L&K isnt it?
-
I'm not convinced mine is 100%. Hardly ever got wheel spin in the old 2.0CR but this new 1.4TSi seems to be a little more spin happy. Considering its got less torque I would have expect it to be the other way around. In the lakes tomorrow so I'll be on the lookout for some slippy stuff
-
made sure it was well warmed up then spanked mine to within an inch of its life on the first trip out. pretty sure I'd hit double figures on the odometer.
-
pretty much, mine needed a new surround, the bolero and columbus are exactly the same size and a standard connector on the back. the front surround was the only difference, hence the need for a new one to fit around the columbus (cost around 25 quid from a skoda dealer). You'll also needed a GPS receiver if you go for a columbus but thats not expensive and just sticks on a cross bar just under the box on the top of the dash (dead easy to remove). I've a columbus, surround, GPS and vcds all sitting doing nothing, if someone wants it I'd be happy to help fit and make sure its all working (Manchester area).

Pretty sure all the units are the same size so in theory there is nothing stopping you fitting a bolero, amundsen or columbus. I'd suspect some coding with VCDS would be needed so the new unit would talk to the car correctly. I swapped out a to the car a bolero for a columbus and it was a pretty pain free experience (needed a new surround).

I've a power magic pro on order. Will piggyback it from an always on in the fuse box so it records while parked, but it'll shutdown when the voltage reaches a certain trigger.

You need to give me a heads up next time you are going out to play in the snow. I'll come over and we can convoy it, 2 white snow yeti's would look pretty cool

We'll probably hit 1000miles this weekend. I'll post the numbers up. -
That's exactly what I'd expect (and got).

Yeti PCP - What % discounts have people been getting.
mrchrispy replied to popcorn's topic in Skoda Yeti
close to 10% on a 1.4TSi L&K and that's with the 0% PCP. -
Same with steering, extra wear on your tyres and running gear. I try and only use straight roads.

its a twin pipe. i reckon the leather is a little nicer that the gobi sand (aka beige) that I had in my elegance. will also have stop/start - wasnt clear in the brochure and was nice to see when I picked it up -
Shouldnt you be looking at an L&K with that lot? The factory fitted towbar I ordered was removable

70 in 6th is approx 2200rpm The difference is punch is down to less torque (320 vs 250). Its not really a lack of it, there is plenty of go when you want it, its just a different power delivery and I'm noticing it as I've come from number of 1.9 PD and 2.0 CR TDi cars. Cracking little engine really and I'm very happy, expecting better mpg round town but less on the longer runs. -

New one picked up today. Did a blast out into the Ribble Valley to give the new girl a good run in, pretty pleased (despite a flooded road incident that almost had me worried). 100 pretty hard miles returned 34mpg on the display (will be doing brim to brim readings) Not as much punch as the 140bhp diesel I swapped it for but still a very nice drive (just wish I could have got DSG) Pleased to see it came with stop/start, didnt expect this and will be handy on the crap city commute the wife does Pleased to see the fitted tow bar is a removable one, expected it to be fixed. Missing the speed on the maxidot and the needle sweep so I'll have to get busy with VCDS -

needs a good thrashing to speed up the process, personally I'm going give mine a good spanking as soon as I get it warmed up -
i think mine was finished and waiting to go on a boat week 1 2016. I'm hoping for end of Jan at the latest

Can anyone but a ball park figure on how long from the 'Your Yeti is on its way to the UK' email to landing at the dealership?
-
just get the skoda ones. looks better and you know they'll work.
-
Decided to just go for it. End of the day I just dont care enough to wait for the plate change and I'd rather have the heated windscreen in this weather  trade in on my current yeti will also be slightly higher.
-
Seems the new yeti is almost ready. Have the option to either collect early Feb or wait till March and get it on a 16 plate. Waited 8 weeks already so another 4 wont kills me (and the wife gets to drive it most of the time anyway) Does it really matter that much?
