  1. Yeah everything been torqued up, feel vibration when driving and pull on that side so caliper might of gone to. The diameter of the bolt holes on the disc are whats causing the play so maybe I'll bin them and get another pair from motorline and change my calipers over as have spare set floating about see if it solves problem. Just thought I'd make sure cheers buddy
  2. Right had front brake retaining screw sheer off but noticed there is about 2mm of play on the disc without the screw in and with nuts on, is the retaining screw meant to stop this play? as normally on other cars I had there was no movement and the screw just held the disc on while fitting the wheel. Its almost as if the disc holes aren't flush with the nuts giving it that 2 mm to move. Possible wrong discs?
  3. well apparently due to the esp on my car ill only be changing the wishbones hubs etc without the rack but cheers buddy that guide is actually pretty sweet
  4. well i had my g60 and saches clutch fitted its a bloody dream compared to that old piece of crap dmf though it was totally shot lol, if you want good repairs done in kent p&m in dartford are great, they have worked on many skodas as all the taxis round here are all octavias so was in good hands no problems at all and cars perfect, now on to the next project wishbones fmic downpipe and exhaust
  5. as the above want to get a quickrack does anyone have the right part numbers i believe its off an r32 from what ive read but have yu got the part/model numbers which i need also which audi tt hubs and wishbones can i use as well. i am going to buy some porsche brakes for this as well all round and some 8.5 front 9.5 alloys with tyres. so far its had full service sks cam belt and water pump g6/saches clutch forge dump valve forge baffled sump h&r springs remap induction kit with custom airfilter box next up is full pipe work in engine bay downpipe and decat exhaust front mount intercooler airlift suspension custom respray, windows retinted as mine arent great and full interior retrim engine mods coming after
  6. Any know the part numbers for the bolts to the wishbones as bought a pair with all the bushes and ball joints already fitted and heard the bolts are stretch type and need replacing, also having the flywheel converted monday so do u have the dog bone bolts part number ?
  7. as above does anyone know anyone having this car on this site as looking for more history on it, i have service history and receipts etc but didnt know if its ever been seen or heard of on here?
  8. The oil pick up was only replaced in sept so might need just a clean up.saunders abbot ill look em up in a bit. On to next question do u know of a good sprayer in this area as car will be treated to a full respray in the original yellow at some point too. Its my little baby so gets treated a lot lol.
  9. My g60/vr6 conversion fitted, cam belt / dampener and water pump fitted, a service as thats just now popped up and need my suspension checked over as the roads in dartford (massive pot holes & oversized speed bumps)knocked my tracking out and now get a knock on the front right over bumps which will be charged to kent county council. Then ive got a downpipe and cat back to go in, the fmic new brakes and pads all round and cos I work 12 shifts at night I have very little time to get this done myself, so need a hand on a few things is all. Fair bit i'd say.

  18. Saches it is mate, Have u got a part number for the saches clutch kit from cp4l I'll buy it now if u have
  19. Right I have chosen to go down the g60/vr6 route for my smf conversion as got flywheel pretty cheap could someone clarify which release bearing I should be using for this, is it the skoda vrs standard or vr6 one. Also has anyone a link to a vr6 luk clutch kit and part numbers for the bolts. Its my first conversion was going to valeo it but would rather genuine parts. Cheers dan
  20. Thats parts and fitting I meant but never heard of national flywheel conversion think his trying to use cheaper parts and charge like his using the better ones and make more profit. Its hard to find a decent place to get it fitted in kent everyone wants both arms and legs as well as my wallet. I was quoted 200 if I bring my own parts but paranoia always gets better of me as ive got kids travelling in my car to.
  21. Sweet ill have a look for the gates kit cheers. I got a dilemma now my mechanic is saying to me to get a national clutch conversion kit and fitting will end up being 438 quid to me that dont seem right as 1. The only place I seen these kits is cheap on ebay 2. Ive never heard of anyone using anything else but valeo luk or saches so are they talking rubbish as the are telling me the national kit is better than the others??
