  1. As previously mentioned, there is a software update available to cure this. Workaround: Turn on the ignition without starting the engine Wait for Xenon dance to complete Start engine.
  2. I've seen it sometime where Apple Carplay doesn't kick in until i unlock the handset. If you see the issue again, try unlocking the phone while the cable is still plugged in. It should hopefully just kick into life.
  3. I went from a mk3 Octavia vRS Manual, to a 150 TDI Superb L&K DSG. I have rarely thought i miss the extra power of the vRS, the benefits of the Superb has vastly outweighed the losses. Day to day driving, and the ability to make progress, is unchanged. I guess the difference in power loss would be even less noticeable between the 170 and 150 than it was for me dropping from 184 to 150. Plus, isn't the mk2 Suberb heavier than the mk3? Oh and you dont have to top up the 150 with urine every 5k miles liek you do with the 190
  4. I too have an L&K and have noticed the seats don't get as hot as they mid on my Mk3 vRS. Which to be honest is a good think, i couldn't use the heated seats on the Octy above lvl 1.
  5. Turns out the Media Unit in the glove box needs replacing. Warranty job.
  6. Thanks for the reply Mickey, but it didn't work for me :(
  7. Picked up my new Superb yesterday and know i'm having this exact same issue. I paired the phone fine yesterday and made some calls. But then i tried Carplay. After a while i decided i didn't really like it and went back to using normal Bluetooth phone calls. Now i can make the call but no audio comes through the speakers. Ive tried all the usual things - re-pairing phone, checking volume. soft reset of iPhone 6, reboot of Columbus, removing all Carplay settings. etc. Has anyone else seen this? Did you get to the bottom of the issue trebor737?
  8. If your budget is around the £100 mark (I couldn't stretch to the Bose) try this. I've been really pleased with it: http://www.richersounds.com/product/wireless-docks,-speakers-and-portables/cambridge-audio/go/camb-go-blk
  9. http://indianautosblog.com/2016/10/2017-skoda-octavia-rs-facelift-envisioned-rendering-246445 I'm sort of coming round to the front end, if it looks like that.
  10. Kenu Airframe Discrete, looks good, does the job. Both SWIMBO and I have one.
  11. I dont have a problem getting my MTB in the back of my Octy3 hatch leaving all the wheels on. It goes ion rear wheel first then has the front wheel pointing upwards with the bars side on to the bike frame. I guess it will be even easier in the SIII
  12. I had a similar conundrum when the 3rd came along. I couldn't get a 10yr old, a 1 year and a newborn in the back of my FL Octy 2. I looked at the Superb, but didn't fancy the idea of the eldest always being in the middle seat, which isn't a "proper" seat and had reduced foot room. I therefore went for a S-MAX as all 3 seats are the same size, individual and can independently moved around.
  13. I had my water pump replaced 6 months ago too. No issue since. Agree that there appears to be a faulty batch out there somewhere.
  14. Thanks for the heads up on this, I cant stop playing it!
  15. Mine had this exact issue. Turned out to be faulty (known issue) water pump.
  16. Hi everyone I was just wondering where people get their windscreen wiper blades from? Is there a special site somewhere that those in the know know TIA Jus
  17. If its Presentation Server 4 / 4.5 Or XenApp 5 its likely to be running on Server 2003. Just make sure that the printer you buy has a driver for that version. As 2003 is still quite common i would expect business printers to still provide for that operating system. HP business printers would be a good place to start, especially as XenApp has something built in called the Citrix Universal Print Driver that emulates most common printing functions and is built from an HP driver.
  18. My O3 vRS has recently been in for an indicator stalk recall to have them replaced with a less combustible version :sun: However, now I have it back I am questioning myself as to when the DRLs turn on. Could fellow Briskodians confirm if when they open their vRS with their keyfob, do the DRLs immediately turn on in bright daylight? As mine do not. Does having the auto headlights set to Auto provide any difference compared to having the headlights set to Off? I could have sworn mine turned on with the keyfob, but now they only come on when I turn the ignition on. TIA *Edited for typos*
  19. I use the Individual setting: Steering - Sport Engine - Normal Lights - Sport A/C - Normal Like others have said, I prefer the heavier steering. I also found it strange when going from Normal mode to Sport mode and the steering has changed. The last thing I want when deciding to throw the car around a bit more are different control inputs. I also kind of like the headlights moving around to follow the steering
  20. MK 2 Black petrol hatch MK 2FL White petrol hatch MK 3 Blue diesel hatch i've loved every single one of them. The petrol's were bought with the heart, the diesel with the head.
  21. Audiobooks. Keeps me calm through the rush hour carnage http://www.loyalbooks.com
  22. Ive had: Black Mk2 Octavia vRS - VR55 OCT While Mk2 Octavia vRS - VR55 OCT White Fabia Monte Carlo - T** JGM Race Blue Mk3 Octavia vRS - T** JGM I live in Knowsley Village now, but still spend time in Prescot as I have many friends and family there. My commute is to Daresbury, near Warrington, so M57, Knowsley Expressway, Speke Road, Runcorn Bridge, Daresbury Expressway and then in reverse. I always see loads of Skoda folk on the journey but never seem to get close to look for stickers.
  23. Me to! World must still be too big, I don't recall seeing a black fabia vrs :(
