  1. They replaced the tail lights twice however the moisture kept on coming back. I just gave up..
  2. Thanks everybody for your quick replies. I have contacted Skoda UK and opened a case regarding the issue. The case worker is supposed to come back within 24 hours. I shall be sending the dealer an email about it and hope this complaint takes us somewhere. Yes, the salesman was aware that we want to connect our iPhone and he confirmed that its not going to be an issue. Also, just realised that our car hasn't even got a multi functional steering wheel, which to be honest is not a deal breaker however I was hoping these things to be mentioned about the car. Yesterday, after reaching home (20 dry miles), we opened the bonnet and found that the engine was filthy. It seemed like a 5 years old rally car. Also, I was shocked when the sales man told me to give "exteremly happy" in the customer satisfaction survey else they will knock 100 quid off his salary. One thing is for sure that I am not going to go back to the City Group to buy my cars. I shall keep ya'll posted. Thanks Saurabh
  3. Hi all, Yesterday we picked up my father in law's brand new Fabia 3 from City Skoda, Basingstoke. While test driving the car (showroom car), we told the sales guy that how important this system is going to be for us and he went on about how useful mirrorlink is as his son watches youtube on it, satnav, messages etc etc. Last night I tried to connect his iPhone 6 to the system and no luck. Later on after after doing some re search I found out that the car wich they sold to us was a pre 22 week model hence not compatible with the iPhone. I was so dissappointed and aggravated that how can these stealers lie to us just to get rid of a car. Please can anybody help me that what can be done at this point. Thanks Saurabh
  4. Hi Johnny, I am so sorry as I completely missed your message. I have sent you a private message.
  5. Hi Cnc, I woukd love to do a comparision on the new F30 BMW 320d with my current Octavia 1.6
  6. How Telboy5, it should be fine as the full size spare wheel originally came with my Octavia 3 hatch SE and the dealer did mention to use it in the Black edition (18" wheel) as the full size spare wheels are standard across the range. Still if you want me to take some pictures of give you any more information then please let me know.
  7. Hi John, I did it last week, 100 views but no reply. :-( Cheers
  8. And the time has come to say bye to my not so old Octavia Black Edition. Its a 1.6 TDI Maual BE. It's going to be replaced by a brand new BMW 320D M Sport Manual. Pretty tempting deal and SWAMBO wanting to get rid of Skoda resulted in a new Beemer. I want to thank all of you for helping me when ever I needed it. One last thing I wanted to ask, I have a full size spare wheel with full kit (unused) and a plastic tray type boot liner to go please let me know if anybody is interested. Once gain Thanks Saurabh
  9. Hi, I had ordered my Octy III with the spare wheel (full size) with full kit from the factory. Now I am selling the car and its only 8 months old. Tyre has never been used, its still brand new. I will let it go for £70 and deliver it my self within 50-70 miles from Heathrow. Let me know if you need any more information. Saurabh
  10. Yes, I did find the pedals were bit offset but the dealer said you get use to it (strange). I also found the steering wheel bit vague as well. I am quite happy with my Octy and thanks once again for your inputs.
  11. Cheers fella. This is why I love this forum. In just few minutes every thing started to make sense...
  12. Its just my other half got too excited about the deal and made me go all that way. I completely understand what you mean. cheers Lostp..
  13. Thanks for your input Chappers. Much appreciated.. Strangely, I enjoyed my Black Edition more on my way back from Audi stealer. ;-)
  14. After getting few quotations through CarWow for an Audi A4 I got really tempted to go for it. So here are the numbers; Audi A4 2.0 TDIe 136PS SE Technik (satnav, leather heated seats, parking plus cruise control, metallic paint) - Actual cost - £29,450. Discounted price - £22,400 on a 7% PCP. They are giving £14,000 for my BE and with £2000 deposit it is coming as £360/month and I am paying £190 for my Skoda. Cons - New A4 is due soon - Tad bit boaring to look - Out dated interior and tech - Not very good on fuel Pros - its an Audi - Value for money - Lots of extras Did I do the right thing by saying no? Saurabh
  15. You are correct, they have knocked 14% of the list price already with 3 years free servicing and 4.9% PCP
  16. I test drove a new CashCow for my mother in law today and I was surprised to see the toys it comes with. It made my trusty octy look dated. It is quite expensive though. What do you guys think about it? Worth it?
  17. Hey guys, I sold my 9 months old Sport and took out the Skoda genuine armrest (only had it for a month). I still have it, let me know if anybody is interested. Comes with the full fitting kit, metal bracket and the angle adjustable armrest with storage compartment.
