The plugs look ok I've checked them ...a couple of garages recommended starting by changing the coil packs and see if it cures it ..... -
EPC light on with fault code registered...any ideas?
jaskat replied to Tristy's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Mined doing this too fault codec 16526 00 (096) cylinder shut off its had uprated plugs 7 months ago so going for Bosch coil packs as recommended by midland VW. will post if it cures it it's only doing it under high speed acceleration i.e. Driving it hard ...normal driving is fine and It resets the EPC light by turning the engine on and off. -

if its like my fabia vrs 2011 you have to remove the passenger airbag to get to it its the only way said a skoda dealer when i rang them....top glovebox then airbag then some felt padding and its hiding in a very tight space for you to ruin your hands on !!!! -

Like you say its not a major problem just an irritating one I've stuck with my one from amazon. I've just serviced both my occty and fabia vrs and now have an exhaust light on after swapping the spark plugs ? if its not one thing its something else ! -
Boot lights...Very short wiring problem
jaskat replied to rawcas's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Hi , I'm having exactly the same problem both boot lights are not working . New boot lock in place still no lights . I have power there 11.5 volts when the boot is shut but open the boot and no power to the light holders I'm baffled and annoyed I've paid £40 for a pointless new boot lock can't understand the wiring have checked all connectors and can't see any corroded ones ! HELP HELP HELP I'm going to put a seperate sensor light in there it's cheaper a Duracell under cabinet light is about £20 a pair on Amazon -

What a poor design of car that seems to keep causing all these issues , my vrs 09' ltd edition has recently had an exhaust sensor now 2 months later its back for a DPF sensor ..... Tempted to get rid already after a year , skoda you really need to do better.

Inner edge tyre wear warning
jaskat replied to danrooke's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have recently purchased a limited edition diesel vrs 09 and the dealer replaced one rear tyre before i picked it up as it had worn on the inner edge. I was surprised as the majority of the tyre looked like it had 50% left. I have now matched the tyre with another new one and just had the geometry all set up to the new settings found on another website....the left rear camber angle was out a bit on the affected side and it made the normal wheel bearing rumble noise. I hope the new kumhos will be better than the dunlops.... -

mystery solved ....the ones provided do not fit my car only up to 2009 the garage have made a boob hence they are refunding me and the postage, be warned it doesnt say they wont fit fabia vrs 2010
-
Has anyone purchased these genuine skoda parts and wondered how on earth they fit onto the new shape fabia vrs ...they look the wrong shape...the instructions are almost useless...and you cannot shut the bonnet when fitted, thats if you get the top clip to fit and stay in place...any help or ideas folks before i go mad... They had supposed to be push-fit PS i also got some for my 2009 octavia vrs ltd edition...oh why did i bother broke it fitting it ... it says push fit more like hammer fit ...come on skoda these parts are just rubbish and damage your car fitting them . they are not like Nissans that fit and clip on easily
