  1. So the time has come to sell my Fabia VRS… I purchased this car mid-October last year from Hutchysrs50 on 110k as I wanted a fun car that would return good MPG as I was doing a lot of travelling. The car is now sitting on 115566 miles. It’s a great little car to drive around, it’s nippy for what it is and faultless to drive, engine never skips a beat! History… The car has a full service history up to 110k most of which is from Skoda and has just been serviced by myself this week. The aircon was re-gassed in the summer.[ The cambelt and water pump were changed at 109k. Modifications and spec… The car is lowered on Jom coilovers which were fitted at 109k, I believe these are still under warranty. (I will also include the standard suspension.) PD160 air intake fitted 312mm discs and callipers fitted on the front, the car had very new pads and discs when I purchased the car but there was a slight warp in the left disc so these have been changed less than 1000 miles ago. 256mm rear brakes Super-pro 70k rear engine mount (less than 100 miles old) 2 brand new Kumho Ecsta Le Sport KU39 tires fitted (less than 1000 miles use) Cupra bushes fitted to the wishbones EGR Delete – this has also been mapped out so no management light. Remapped – I’m unsure of what BHP the car is currently running, I would say in the region of 160-170hp. De-cat exhaust Team heko wind deflectors Cupra r front splitter 70% tinted rear windows TRS tow strap (fitted so it can actually be used, not just for looks) Pressed metal plates Custom badges Factory fitted cruise control – works spot on 6 CD multichanger (will not come with the alpine head-unit) LED’s fitted all-round and lights de-tango’d Bosch aero wipers Custom made VRS armrest (not fitted currently) So now for the bad bits... The car’s 10 years old so it’s going to have general nicks and chips etc. There are a few nasty scratches (careless people not giving a crap about other people’s cars!) Wing-mirrors could do with the glass changing and have again been hit by careless drivers but not too badly damaged. The main problem which is very recent, the ABS light and traction control light have come on and having plugged the car in its saying the driver’s front sensor has failed. I’m going to ask £3200 ovno (For this price I will fix the ABS problem.) Or £3000 with the ABS light on. Feel free to message me for more details, Cheers. Edit: Forgot to mention, tax till end of april, MOT till end of may
  2. That is indeed what I mean . Thanks , ha no need to excuse yourself, nothing wrong with some gentle ribbing :p. Sorry Richard :( making me feel terrible mate lol
  3. Well I thought I'd get myself a project thread on the go... Bought this clean example from hutchysrs50. His build thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/281182-hutchysrs50-red-mk1-fabia-vrs/ Hope you don't mind me posting the link to your build there mate. If I'm honest I'm very happy with the way the car is now, it's been very well looked after so I'm not looking to do a huge amount of mod's just some subtle ones along the way and maybe a hybrid turbo next year Anyway on with some pictures (Worth mentioning now, I have the picture taking skills of a sloth ) Car on the way home First thing to sort out was the leaky door seals, did some reading up about this, seems very common and if I'm honest a pretty easy fix if you've ever taken a door card off before Leaking like this on both sides Coming apart... Sealant on Other door done... All back together So I was happy with the condition of the paint but there were a few scratches here and there that I wanted buffed out and the spoiler was pretty faded so decided to mop the car yesterday... Car before I started Car mopped - no polish Was very overcast so you cant see the shine on the bonnet :( Spent a good few hours detailing the car Mopped and polished So all in all, very happy with how the cars come out , has a nice winter coat on now, hopefully be a bit easier to keep clean So I think the car needs HID's, not happy with the yellow look if I'm honest, can anyone recommend me what kit to get? So, that's probably going to be the biggest update for a little while, I've got some plans in my head though... Going to paint the chrome part of the grill black and have a new badge ready to go on HID kit Tint front and rear lights (only the clear section of rear lights) Going to spray the air vent surrounds inside the car stainless exhaust system, don't know whether or not to go for 2" or 2.5"? Also debating whether or not to vinyl the roof black... Opinions? More to come thanks for reading
