The Murray group here in the south west major in VW. Historically the Newton Abbot dealership was VW only. They have had a big refurbishment this summer and seem now to sell VW motors only.

I bought the internal bike holder for mine. It works perfectly but front wheels have to come off.

Cheaper? I would be interested to know how!

I bought my new Roomster here last December, the deal was reached quickly and efficiently; I drove away very happy. Two weeks ago we decided to drop in to see if there was something for our 21 year old who has finished his degree and teacher training. He has got a job for September, but pennies to spend on some wheels. Rikki Scullion, the salesman we dealt with previously sold us a Citigo at a very attractive price. A 63 plate with less than 4K under its wheels. We picked it up last Friday. As he was talking my wife through the controls, he did comment on the state of the car. It clearly had been washed and was clean inside but wasn't in showroom condition. What surprised and impressed was that neither myself or my wife mentioned this before the Sales Manager was summoned and agreed with Rikki that the car was not in the condition they expected to present to a customer. Without a word from us we were asked to return the car on Monday for it to be properly prepared. When we arrived the car was waiting. To the eye, it was a new car. Added to this, the interior had a protective cleaning application, and an Autoglym pack was in the boot as an extra. What really impressed was that all of this was unsolicited and not expected. Everyone makes mistakes (I seriously think the dealership had so many cars to deliver on the day that the guys charged with preparation were rushed off their feet) but not many companies take full responsibility and put things right (and then some!) without the customer even raising an eyebrow. We were seriously impressed.

Hi, I'm just coming up to 4K miles from new and mpg is hovering around 44. Mix of A road and short, in town journeys.

I too have now completed just over 1000 miles in my TSI 85 Roomster. Like the OP nothing has gone wrong, everything is as it should be. I am getting over 45 mpg so far. I have had my bike in the back without fuss (I bought the internal bike holder - two minutes to put in or take out) and the seats come out and go back in very easily. Coming from a Berlingo ( no problems at all in 100K miles to be fair) I am enjoying the superior driving experience of the Roomster.

I didn't get the 0%. But I have left a few thousand on 7.9% to get the service package. Like yourself, I will pay it off after a few weeks.

Well, today I took the plunge and visited my local dealer to discuss the purchase of a new TSI Roomster. I was looking to take advantage of the 0% finance offer and pick up the free service offer. Having read this thread and others I expected to haggle over the fine detail- given the expected four or five month wait while sticking to what I wanted. I expected to have to pay near list to get the benefits of Solutions. I pick up my Roomster next Wednesday: I saw it today and had a very close look around it. In short, there are still silver metallic TSI 85 SE Roomsters in the UK available for 9990. No brainer I think is the term!

Hello everyone. I am going to buy a new Roomster but wish to wait as long as I can before the model is either discontinued or replaced. Ideally 12 months from now would be ideal but could do sooner if needed. If any kind soul has any inside info I would surely appreciate it.
