  1. Car on sale now on eBay. See linky https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272422628200 Will sell to a member for 1400. Thanks.
  2. Might want to get a remap as well after the filter and exhaust to maximise the gains....best mod I made to mine, was the remap.
  3. Take it back to where you got the work done. Ask them to do it again and take the receipt with you. They should oblige and re do it. Ask them to clamp off the steering wheel in the dead set 12 o'clock position if they don't already.
  4. I've got an oscillating polisher and tried to do so on the bonnet. The effort I put in had positive results as the bonnet started to get shiny and the red was coming back, but I lost interest as the baking sun came out and my back went into spasm. I'm sure if I had a proper orbital polisher it would shine like diamond in a goats ass. I was estimating it at around £1500. Am going to be looking at a Forester Sti Friday so might ask about a Part ex value....Thanks dudes.
  5. I think the VRS ones are Bilstein from the factory for the VRS. The regular ones will be less firm... https://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/steering-suspension/shocks-components/shock-absorber
  6. Hi I'll be selling my VRS soon. It's got 96K miles on it. Has a full service history and 11 months MOT. It's in the red, but the bonnet and front wings are faded. My intention was to get them colour mopped to match the rest of the car-I may pay the couple of hundred to get this done. There are no dings or dents on the bodywork and aside from the paint it's in pretty decent condition. The interior is in good condition with no rips or tears in the leather. Everything accept for the rear wash works. Never did get around to resolving it.... Engine has a drop in panel and had some replacement breather pipes fitted. It has been Revo mapped. The wheels are replica Audi S4 multispokes ( 9 Spokes ) with Uniroyal rain sport 3's on the front and Falken ZZr's on the back. Just been serviced replaced a track ball joint-tracking was done soon after. What sort of money should I be realistically asking for? Thanks.
  7. It has been remapped and running a drop in filter. Doesn't get launched hard or anything on a regular basis or at all. There is no sign of clutch slippage....The bite point is as it has always been, 'Normal' Don't really need this cost as it's just noisy, but dammit it's ****ing me off! Cue the many replies about turning up the radio! I'll swing by the independent after work and see what the cost might be.....Thanks guys.
  8. Hi My VRS has done 95k miles. And for a while it's had a squeaky pedal. The last 20mm of travel makes it squeak. I've taken the under side of the dash off and hosed down the area with silicone spray but to no avail. Also I noted that under the bonnet there was creaking sound when the clutch was getting pressed and released. Anyone else had the same issues? I am possibly thinking of getting the master/slave cylinders changed to cure the annoying as balls noise....? There is no issue with the clutch engaging or dis engaging. Although sometimes I go have some difficulties getting into first and it grinds when sometimes I select neutral. Any thoughts? Thanks. Supa
  9. Hi The gear change on my VRs could do with being a bit tighter. Has anyone fitted a short throw doo dad? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151705250172?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Can someone who has please report back whether it's a postive having this installed along with some fresh bushs and stuff? Thanks. Supa
  10. Hi I've done a seach and could not find any, but has anyone got a guide on how to fix the ash tray cover? Mines just popped open and now does not shut. I've taken the ash tray out to look at any broken bits but could not see any. There is a hole behind the left side of the cog so something may have fallen off.. It's annoying me and i can not stand it! If there are any guru's out there that can point me towards an easy quick fix I'd be their friend forever! Thanks.
  11. Thanks dude. Been trying to upload a pic but tapatalk is being retarded... Everybody panic! It's just like the titanic, but it's full of bears! -Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Any one have tips to take the bumper off and re align. I was not paying attention and ground it onto a kerb while nosing into a parking spot. Am ****ed off. The bumper has dropped on drivers side by 7-10mm. Thanks in advance. Everybody panic! It's just like the titanic, but it's full of bears! -Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hi Do you have the near side windscreen plactic lower cover blanking plastic for the hole used if the car was LHD for the wipers? Thanks.
  14. Mine has been remapped, drove to Great yarmouth averaged 44.6 going there. On the way back I could only manage 34.5. This was last Sunday and was very blustery and heavy rain.
  15. Just had the car serviced and it seems when the garage changed the pollen filter they lost or it flew off once driving. Has anyone got the nearside wiper blanking doo-dad that sits on the plastic scuttle panel at the bottom of the windscreen? And if there is a person that has a spare can I have it, please? Thanks.
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A4-VW-Passat-B5-Seat-Skoda-Under-Engine-Cover-Undertray-Fitting-Kit-Clips-/190973785762?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c76ecb6a2
  17. Does it have to be VW Audi specific labelled ones?
  18. Got a Vrs with 87K on the clock. What oil should I be using? I always use fully synthetic, but what is the general consensus? And go! Supa
  19. Taken from Pistonheads website. Put in PISTON25 when checking out on home deliveries or reserve and collect.
  20. The TC is not the best compared to the current systems. I once in a rage engaged in a brutal launch managed to smoke the fronts with the TC on....no hint of any control.....maybe it gives up at a certain speed/revs?
  21. I went from the stock 205 to 225 width. Pros- Looks excellent-no longer pizza cutter width tyres Lots more rubber choice and price is around the same Dry grip improved Improved steering feel. Cons- More road noise Catches cambers more often Increased torque steer Greater care hitting standing water at speed
  22. You can make your own if you have some gasket paper. Trace out the old gasket and cut it out accurately. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/251751799320?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108&ff19=0
  23. Yeah you should be fine to drive home with the warning light on. Your fuel consumption might go up as it'll overfuel and retard the ignition to save the engine. Get it home and get a code reader on it.
  24. Just founf another thing to do on the weekend as the drivers button that controls the passanger only works in the auto down function and not the other.....I must stop looking at this site as my list of things is not getting shorter!
