    Thanks to everyone for the advice and to Peter for the replacement gauges, these solved the problem so all ready for the warmer salt free weather !

    Quick update on the exhaust situation,  Paul at Skoparts  came up trumps with just what I needed at a VERY reasonable price and was a pleasure to deal with.  Thanks everyone for the advice and to anyone out there looking for parts I highly recommend contacting Paul at Skoparts, he is the first place I will go to in future as and when I need parts.
