  1. Just a suggestion but if you are playing music via an iPhone it could be down to the fact that the tracks are streamed on the latest apple software rather than physical downloads in order to save space on the phone. All your music can still be manually downloaded but it's just worth checking as if you are playing streamed tracks , loosing 3G 4g signal for a few seconds can result in jittery playback. I also know that using older iPods and iPhones over Bluetooth sometimes causes jittery playback as I used to have this issue in my Octavia when playing music on my wife's iPhone 4. Whereas my iPhone 6 had no issues.
  2. The dealer supplied and installed the smartlink for me. For £135. (Hayselden Doncaster) They left a dvd type case in the car which has several codes and activation numbers as well as an installation proceedure for the technicians. It does indeed require activating from VCDS or whatever it's called as it needs plugging into a computer to activate. For most people it probably isn't currently worth the money but to get Apple maps display on the large screen makes it incredibly useful for me due to travelling often for work. Also, Apple maps is both free for an iPhone user and has regular free updates which means that my in car sat nav is always up to date and has the latest POIs etc. Using Siri for voice control is great when you're in a city for making calls and reading texts aloud but go off the beaten track and lose the 3G/4G signal and it's as useful as a cardboard **** peice!
  3. Hi zarch I also enquired about this on my 16 plate post build yeti but was only offered the £599 head unit which is very pricey for DAB. But the dealer can install the unit. This may be the only way to go. I have just had Smartlink added as well and though it's limited the maps and voice control are great.
  4. Congrats on the new motor. I have the same model, find the 1.2 engine more than adequate but that's coming from a 1.6 tdi Octy and not a vrs!
  5. Thanks! It's Quartz grey with the Matterhorn alloys. Quite a nice combination imo.
  6. Here's the pics. Thought I'd better keep them scenic and in keeping with the rest of the forum!
  7. Thanks macdemon. I'll upload some pics as soon as I get some with a low enough filesize.
  8. Hi all Skoda convert since getting my octy back in 2013. Decided to swap for a yeti as I love cars with character! Only the 1.2 tsi but it is surprisingly nippy and an SEL spec as I had to have the led daytime running lights! Only other extra was the wheels. It's now my little monster truck!!! Very pleased to be joining the club!!
  9. Same thing on my octy with the top three elements not defrosting around the brake light, not ideal. Although, from inside the cabin, this is not noticeable and the visible part of the rear windscreen is completely clear so it maybe it's meant to be like that? Anyway, spring/summers on its way (hopefully!) so I'll not be too worried!
  10. Hi New to the forum and new to Skoda as well! Here's the pic of my 1.6 tdi se which I picked up in October. Only the basic model but still like it!
