I have for sale my skoda fabia vrs in green with white roof it is a 2011 and has quite a few extra's including climate control,cruise control,heated seats,rear parking sensors and all round electric windows . It has had a few modifications which have been done tastefully and I have kept the origional equipment so it can be returned to standard if required . It has an uprated intercooler and induction system forge. lowered and anti-roll bar fitted and full stainless steel Miltek exhaust with sports cats it has been re-mapped by revo and has white multispoke alloys with 215-40-17 tyres of which I will be giving 3 as new tyres as extras as well as all the other bits for it . It has been very well looked after with regular oil services and check oil regulary is does consume a small amount of oil I would say 1/2 to 1 litre a year of which I do about 6000 miles the car is currently 24,700 no known issues air con regassed and ready to go. For me I would stick with the micra we have had an 1.0 auto for 5 years with no real issues and really cheap to run I would think you should be able to get a newer one than an 2003 for 2.5k though I would be looking 2005/6 with sensible miles and you should have 5 years min cheap motoring.Good Luck

Not sure if this has already been posted but halfords are doing 4 litres of fully synthetic vw spec 502 / 505 for 12 quid loads left at my local store good for cheap oil change or if you own a thirsty cave.

I remember getting Fangs, bones and claws and putting them on bread and butter but hard to get hold of were bats. Anybody else remember these or am I going mad.

If she like the qashqui what about Kia sportage very nicely finished off and lots of kit name is getting better with the 7 year warranty I have 2 friend who have bought them and are very impressed.

Must agree you would never pay a builder up front the whole amount for an extension before it was done maybe money for materials but you need to see the finished artical. You may find defects with the car or inperfections and if you hold the cash you are in control once they have all the money its just lip service and warranty yada yada.

Having had close to 70 cars in total I have only ever noticed a drastic change of attitude towards me was when I bought a old 911 this was a joke nobody would let you out and everybody wanted to overtake/race at every chance. The thing I notice wit the vrs's I have had 2 is the look of surprise when you come past them as if that car should't be doing that to me !.
