Should be ok for the next 3 years at least if that's the case lol. -
1.0 TSI versus 1.2 TSI Rapid/Toledo
kinetic747 replied to Robbydazzler's topic in Skoda Rapid & Spaceback (2012 > )
Had a good look round one of the Toledos at IMG in Warrington yesterday, they are highly specced and an absolute bargain. They only had 2 left, both blue and £12495 and I'd definitely have had one if they had any other colour. I ended up getting a 1 year old Leon FR so it's time to say bye to my old Toledo 1.6 TDI SE. -
VW Emissions Scandal Thread V2
kinetic747 replied to Outofthi5world's topic in General Automotive Chat
I have a Seat Toledo with the affected 1.6 Tdi engine and it's the uncertainty more than anything that's annoying. I've had trouble free driving for the last 2 years (bought at 1 year old with 2000 miles on the clock for a good price) but the warranty expires at the end of this month. Seat have been in touch to see if I would like to extend the warranty which I think is a bit rich. Personally I would rather they offered to extend the warranty at least until the fix is applied, I can then decide what to do next, trade in or keep it for another couple of years. Anyone who says resale values will be unaffected by all this is deluded. -
Service regime for Skoda Rapid TDi
kinetic747 replied to AK67's topic in Skoda Rapid & Spaceback (2012 > )
This has just happened to my Seat Toledo 1.6 Tdi, 2 weeks after service and 'service now' message is displayed. Bloody annoying as the dealership is 25 miles away! -
I've just googled this issue and it's an 'anti stall' feature and quite common apparently.
-
My 1.6 Tdi Toledo does exactly the same thing.

My Toledo has 17" Dunlop Sportmax 215/40/17 and the ride is quite harsh. I recently fitted Nexen Wingard Sport winter tyres in the same profile and the ride is much improved. They are excellent in the snow and cold and perform better than expected for a budget winter tyre. For £260 fitted from MytyresI think I have got a bargain and the only downside is a slight reduction in fuel economy.

Just got my tax renewal through the post, £30 for the year which is another bonus. -

My daily commute is 50 miles return with about 40 miles of motorway so I guess this helps a lot with the mpg. -

I have the same spec in Reflex silver and the wheels do make all the difference. I've had rear sensors fitted to mine (Cobra Park Master) and it's a worthy addition and they work perfectly. The ride is a little firm due to the 17" alloys and Dunlop Maxx Sport tyres and I may look to change these to something different when the time comes. The economy has been great in the recent warm weather and I can easily achieve 60+ mpg on a good run. Last winter I was still getting mid fifties so overall I'm very happy with the car. -
I sometimes still use them if the supermarket is empty and my daughter is now 19.
-
I was parked up in the supermarket waiting for my wife and a young kid banged their door 3 times into my last car, the woman with him gave me abuse when I told him to be careful. What can you do in this situation? I would be the bad guy for arguing with a woman and child.

Key holes on the side of all doors
kinetic747 replied to Arabas's topic in Skoda Rapid & Spaceback (2012 > )
My Toledo auto locks the doors at a certain speed so I assume the Rapid does the same.
