Maybe look at 2nd hand? I'm not professional or a snob, but I believe you may struggle a little bit with that type of budget. These were taken by my wife on her old Nikon J1. A great little camera, not worth a lot 2nd hand which is great for the buyer. She's already sold hers so I'm not trying to make a sale here!! Lenses are more important than the camera.

I'm a psychiatric nurse. I work in HMP Leicester. Can't be arsed to be a nurse for much longer tbh. The fun has gone out of the job. Not that I do my job to be thanked in any way, shape or form, but the vast majority of people who come to me are pretty vile and only think and care about themselves.

Plastidipped the front grille surround. Struggled to take it apart as I wanted to remove the black paint the previous owner painted it with. Might have another crack next week now as I'm at work for the next 4 days

Gave her a proper clean today. Got some great beading!! Dash cam also fitted properly now.

We bought two Mini 0805's for ~£95 delivered. I fitted on in my wife's golf last night, did my Fabia this evening. I ordered hard wire kits separately but bought the wrong ones!! I ended up soldering wires onto the provided cigarette lighter plug and then hard wiring from there! Both work absolutely fine.

Saw a 4 Series BMW today in Leicester. Black with loads of orange trim all over. Looked absolutely atrocious. I thought the owner did it...not so sure. Either way, it looked gash.

Great thread. Not a huge list for me considering I've been driving 25 years! Not a complete list by any means, more a snapshot of my history. 1st car Mk 4 Cortina. YNR 377T Escort RS 2000 - AVV 320S A Mini I was too embarrassed to drive and never did!! I lent it my neighbour and he did a Post Office in it!!!! Landcia Delta HF Turbo S1 (carb version) with Martini stripes B757 ??? 3 x Lancia Y10's including a Grey GTiE Quite a few Mercedes in the last few years. Pick of them was my 230 CE. PROPER gangster!!! Never should have sold that. I then went Rat scene. Easily the best was my first flirtation with VW. A lovely silver Passat 1.8 turbo estate. Until I rusted it . Looked magnificent in my opinion and got tonnes of offers for it. I was too stubborn to raise the coilovers and got through 3 exhausts in 2 months. That was the beginning of the end of it. Had big plans for a Felicia rat but that never materialised. Polo mk3 which I rusted. Didn't like the 4 speed box Just needed a manual choke and I'd have been back in my Cortina! I just didn't love it like I did the PassRat. Plus, I really wanted a Felicia. A couple of boring cars between the Polo and where I am now, Fabia SE I reckon only 4 of my cars would have gone up in value. Cortina, Escort, Delta HF Turbo and a future classic, Mercedes 230 CE. Stupidly, I only sold the Merc out of that lot... The others I gave away or swapped!!!!!!!!

Jesus Quintana from the Big Lebowski. Greatest movie ever made!! For those that don't know, it's about a man who has his rug peed on and wants compensating for it!! Jesus Quintana is a character in the movie.

Love this thread!! In all fairness, I've never been on a specific car forum before where owners of a particular marque are so open minded about other brands. Quite refreshing really. Back on topic, and I don't normally say much about cars as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the X3 is one ugly, confused 'car'. Maybe SWMBO could just plump for a 1 Series diesel?
