  1. I used to have that same problem with my previous diesel engine. It never happend after i learned to give it a beating now and then. If you drive your diesel enging like you're driving miss Daisy this is a problem that will continue.
  2. Update on the topic. Iv'e been in contact with two different suppliers. One of them told me that h&r has produced lowering springs for my model, but the other one said that he has checked and there isn't any yet.
  3. The rough road pack adds 15mm of rideheight.
  4. I actually got somebody from the Norwegian Skoda club to meassure and compare. My car has the origional ride hight. No extra ridehight. The member who meassured has the factory installed sport suspension so naturally his car was 15mm lower, but that shows that there isn't any difference.
  5. If the dent i relativly fresh you can heat it up and quickly cool it down with a ice cube. That may sort it out.
  6. Could somebody please do me a favor and meassure their 2wd from the ground up to the weel arch or from the senter cup and up so i can compare it to mine?
  7. Of somebody told me that i could buy the Golf mk7 R for £32K i'd buy 2 of them. I cashed out £46K for my 18 tsi 4x4 dsg.
  8. I don't know how it woorks in the Uk, but here in No®way we don't get it approwed unless you get a full 4 weel alignment done. To get it in the registration documents you have to bring the receipt down to the registration office and let them go over the car and approwe it.
  9. Wow..looks good! How would you say that the ride quality feels like after you lowered it?
  10. I know for sure that it wasn't ordered with the rough road package, but it seems a bit high. I meassured from the ground and up and it was 68,5 and 69,5 cm.
  11. Just as a follow up question: if a was to put on spacers to make my wheels to get closer to the outer arches, how wide do they have to be? 10mm? 20?
  12. Skoda hasn't raised the ride height for the four-wheel-drive models, but they come with a more sophisticated rear suspension set-up than other Octavia Estates, and offer a composed ride. That said, even the standard front-wheel-drive cars soak up most bumps with ease. - See more at: http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/skoda/octavia/2013-skoda-octavia-estate-review/1201843#sthash.UVojgDqN.dpuf It looks as it has the same ride height as the 2wd.
  13. Thanks for your reply's. my car is ca 38 cm from the senter cup up to the weel arch. I guess the car will look and handle fine with the H&R springs.
  14. H&R offers lowering springs that will lower my 1.8 estate 4x4 by 40mm. What do you guys think about the looks of 40mm lowering? Is it too much? How much lower is that compared to a stock vrs?
  15. Thanks. They wrapped around it just leaving an almost invissible joint. Next up now is to wrap the chrome around the side windows and tint the backlights ( and putting on some H&R lowering springs )
  16. I'm happy with my Canton even though my home stereo costs more than £30K I do not listen to my car stereo the same way i do at home. I would most likely driven the the car off the road if i did.
  17. Any news on retrofitting the driving mode button and the vcds codes needed?
  18. Is there anybody who has retrofitted the sports mode button and know the vcds code? My dealer has agread to retrofit the button if i can find the code. I thought a had seen it here, but i am unable to find it.
  19. The 2.0 tdi 184 bhp engine will be an option in the scout ( i've been told by people who should know )
  20. The window issue could just be dry sealings around the window. Try to spray on some silicone on the rubber bushings. My former car did the same because i had managed to dry the rubber out with degreaser. The windows actually met to much resistance when they went up and the child protection where activated.
