  1. Just to add , no dtc's are stored after reading with vcds Any help would be greatly appreciated
  2. Hi all. I have a 62 reg roomster 1.6tdi. The blue coolant under temperature light is working normally but on the odd occasions, 30 seconds after morning start up the red over temperature light also flashes and stays on for the duration of the journey I'm assuming that the sensor is at fault. Can anyone give me an idea of its location and there thoughts of any other fault that could cause this scenario Thanks
  3. Having seen the Skoda main dealer fixed price service charge of £139 for my vehicle I rang my nearest to book. However they quoted me £193. On questioning why they are charging an extra 54 quid the eventual answer was that " it's only valid for vehicles 3 to 10 years old" mine is 2 years old. I questioned what I got for the extra money " more comprehensive service following a different job list and better filters" was the reply My argument was and still is, how can you be charged more to service a newer vehicle that should have less potential problems than something 10 years old? Or am I missing the point somewhere?
  4. Hi all, I recently purchased my first skoda and was surprised at the rather high cost of the insurance. When the policy came through in the post it stated automatic, when it clearly is a 5 speed manual box. After contacting the ins company I received £50 credit but have subsequently found that the insurance databases list it as an auto. The new v5's don't have a section for " transmition type" but the vehicle details "D3 Model" has S-A at the end, I'm assuming this stand for semi auto? I am the second owner, purchased from main dealer as ex demo. So my questions are, do I need to get the v5 changed? If so by who, Skoda, dealer or DVLA ? Also will this change the taxation class? Any information will be greatfully received
