  1. Luckily for the consumer the law has changed for the better http://www.lawgistics.co.uk/read-news/865
  2. Its no secret, that my car is a lemon, been to the garage nearly 30 times in 18 months, always used Pilling Milton Keynes & Merritts Aylesbury, Merritts closes end of the month & Pilling have lost the skoda franchise, but will service cars, so im now faced with some distance to travel when the next problem arises.
  3. Guess what, Pilling Skoda have lost their franchise, but will continue to service cars.
  4. Hope this is posted in the right area. Merritts Skoda of aylesbury will close the end of this month, they have sent out letters confirming this.
  5. You lucky sod, hopefully im off soon to a toyota avensis.
  6. I know where you are coming from, im trying to get out of an octy because of to many problems & poor dealer service, but the dealers I visited just dont seem interested & surprisingly not that busy, they all save they will do a deal, but when push comes to shove, they seem to loose interest.
  7. Just returned from dealer, my car needs two front wheel bearings, car only done 27K mils, not happy, when i 3 years old, car going.
  8. I had the same sort of problem, when it was really cold & turning left, got a clicking noise from o/s/f, now I got a vibration/grating noise from o/s/f at 50-60mph, the problem is the two main dealers close to me are flipping useless & not interested in warranty work.
  9. Was replaced 10 months ago, and its now starting to go again, would the repair be covered by 12M/12K mile warranty, skoda dealer sub contracted work.
  10. Octy Estate 1.9 TDI, only 27K miles, Im all of a sudden experiencing a grating/screeching noise from the front, new tyres fitted 3 months ago & noise not there, does not sound like a wheel bearing either. Noise most obcious between 50-60 mph, oh yeah its not engine or clutch/gearbox related as turning off engine noise still there. Anyone else experienced this?.
  11. I've recently got two michelin energy tyres on the back, previously had **** dunlop sports, and im honestly seeing an extra 1 mpg, dunlop tyre pressures where set to what skoda recommend.
  12. Having had crappy dunlop sports, i've gone for 2 michelin energy's which are excellent, very quiet & hopefully they should last well.
  13. Just to rock the boat, my car is a 56 reg 1.9 tdi. Dear Mr ***** Thank you for your most recent email regarding your Octavia TDi. I am pleased to learn that your vehicle is able to use a 30% blend of RME Biodiesel. When designing our more recent models, there has been a lot of focus on increasing fuel efficiency and decreasing the carbon emissions released by our vehicles. The new technology and parts used are not compatible for use with 100% Biodiesel. We want to play an active part in cutting global emissions of Co2 and we are committed to Biofuels. We have major projects underway to produce second generation Biofuels which we call Sunfuel. Sunfuel refers to sulphur- and aromatics-free diesel and petrol that emit far fewer pollutants on combustion and these second generation fuels offer the best platform for economic and low-emissions engines of the future. 14. Having had many problems with my car, I honestly believe skoda dealers do there best to avoid warranty work, probably because skoda UK pay them a crap labour rate.
