  1. Due to very strong/increasing residuals (well at least before the bubble bursts!) and guaranteed p/ex strongly considering placing an order for the new VRs.I have a 2020 VRS at the moment and there appears to be no room for a space saver. As it seems like we are forced to take seven seat option does anyone know if it is still not an option as its not showing as such on the configurator....or does it maybe come as standard? Whilst there are plenty of pictures of the 2022 VRs wheels with aero covers on haven't found one of the Sagittarius without the covers ie the more traditional 3D look as apposed to flat covers. I have the race blue colour which will be hard to leave but again can't seem to source any pictures of the new VRs in Graphite Grey which is apparently between Quartz and Business. Shame its not coming with the 320Bhp engine such as in the Arteon R but hoping it will be a better fit than the existing Diesel Biturbo which fits the transmission on the open road well but isn't particularly refined around town. Perchance the petrol will be more suitable for the regular very short journeys I'm doing.Going to try a facelift 190bhp petrol Sportline at the dealer as a starter to evaluate the pros and cons. Typically buy 3 month old demos or ex Skoda management cars but it seems that's not going to be a possibility as dealers can't order them for themselves only "customer " order. Have never ordered new before preferring to travel the length of the country for the right vehicle with subsequent pre -regd benefits but as been offered 3k more than i paid for mine 16 months ago guaranteed for the 22week build period and also the fact it seems like it will be the only way to get one jumping out my comfort zone!
  2. Coming back to Skoda ranks this weekend swapping a BMW335d GT3 x-drive with m -sport plus package for a ,<1000 mile 280 4x4 Sportline hatchback specced up with sunroof,Canton ,rear camera to name a few extra's so this article has to rate as my favourite all-time thread on this great site.Myself and a guy at work who owns a Lotus Evora (?) and a Leon Fr as a daily stand impressed with the passion and application to create an amazing motor from an understated but admittedly quality starting point... Whilst I will no way get close to your achievements do intend to replace exhaust system as even resonator delete on the Cupra I had last year made a worthwhile difference.Gone with a quartz grey one as the blend of metallic paint into black chrome trim/grille and tinted windows accentuates the sleeper mode which I prefer and seems to fetch out the subtle greeny hue of the paintwork. Also if you could advise where you sourced the rear bumper protector that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. My S/hand estate came with the sunset option and can appear almost "black" from an acute angle and cosmetically is fine but as a security measure it has no value."Limo" tint on the rear windows will be the way forward for myself as from recent experience from my previous vehicle a Peugeot mpv it does not allow anyone to see inside whatever the light conditions. The downside however is it does make visibility/perception at night different and obviously darkens the interior ambience of the car so its a mixed bag of pro's and con's.
  4. Superb Elegance estate 170 dsg in Malachite green 62 plate 2013 ....3 spoke steering wheel + paddle shift,spare wheel,sunset glass...3k miles .
  5. Cheers Sez /Ksr. ...Black leather interior Ksr .....have seen some nice tan (light brown)leather interiors whilst looking around though, another dealer had a mint low mileage (for age) beige car but it was well into its warranty and a 140...credit to its former owner though. The sunset glass and even the green skoda icon seem to complement the "strange green" of my car quite well.....strange because whilst not flip paint it does seem to vary from almost British racing green to various lighter shades subject to view angle and light conditions.....ultimately though its apparently an in house skoda management car which doesn't give the appearance of being a heavily used fleet vehicle. Some quite young in age terms seem to have had little or no respect despite a short lifespan and often dealers choosing not to prep' the car pre sale showed them in a poor light.Extras were not mentioned in the adverts so couple not visible in pics were bonuses as many cars seem to be on buy back schemes or short term lease to various external companies and hence 100% standard....still a great spec at that though . Hope tues goes well Sarah .....i have driven a few cars on test drives recently and never went in a bad one so sure your motor will be no different in being a class motor to give you satisfying ownership.
  6. Despite this being my first post I have found the forum a great help as a visitor viewing various topics previously covered by members....as a prospective superb estate purchaser (within a budget) the site has been invaluable...anyways hopefully pick up 2012 model 170 dsg elegance estate on Monday.Fairly unusual colour in Malachite green 3k miles with sunset glass ,spare wheel, boot dividing system and paddle shifters so few extra bits an bobs. Perchance may be able to post constructive replies myself in time but for now appreciate the time you guys take to reply to questions....it's been a big help....cheers!
