Hi All Picked up our Octy Scout the other day. It's an 11 month old facelift with the 181bhp Tdi engine. First impressions are that it's only slightly less pleasant inside that the Mrs Golf R and that's only when you go below waist height. It drives very well but so far the poke seems well disguised. It came with the OEM 17's which may be good for the ride, do nothing for the looks - an immediate remedy is already sorted. We went for this as we needed a tow car for the caravan and the 4wd will assist if we ever need it on grass / mud etc. Here are a few rubbish pics - I need to get some decent ones. The Duke is awesome - far better than ill ever be! fingers crossed for the 750! It was the longer international circuit including the infield. All was going well until i had a brain fart and went too wide onto the grass at 85mph (iirc). Sorry to hear you didnt get on with the K5 - any idea what it was you didnt like? Id be interested in the fairings - I need some spares for track work!

I pick up my Scout next week and said hi elsewhere but spotted this section so I thought I'd share my track and road bike. For road I have a Ducati Panigale 1199s and for track, my recently acquired K5 GSXR 750. I've had the Pani for two years and last year did a few trackdays on it. Unfortunately, I kissed the barrier at Rockingham and some repairs were needed. The (un)fortunate result was coming across some carbon WSBK fairings for sale! I've spent a lot of time getting them to fit using Dzus fasteners and also a one off aluminium tail tidy; I've also got a stripped and brushed aluminium fuel tank that just needs fitting. As for the GSXR, I picked this up about a month ago and due to the weather haven't ridden it yet. It had a lot spent on it (approx £5K!) which are mainly all mods that will make it a better track bike so all I need to do is get some track bodywork once I've had a few road rides to get used to it. Hi We get our new (to us) scout in a few days and would like to change the alloys. I've been looking at 19 inchers for the summer wheels (I've already got some Genuine BBS CH028's with winter tyres) - likely something from Audi / VW like the ones in the ebay link below: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Audi-S7-S-Line-19-Alloy-Wheels-Tyres-A5-A6-A7-A8-Passat-T4-5x112/162840370648?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Www.willtheyfit.com suggests they will go on fine and poke out a tiny bit more which I imagine would bring the outside edge closer to the outside edge of the plastic arches. Morning After several years of browsing the forums to assist in researching potential purchases of various Skodas, including VRS', Fabias, and Yetis - we finally bought one yesterday. It's a facelift '17 Octavia Scout with the VRS TDI engine. It's just going through the workshop at the dealer who sold it before we can pick it up. This is planned to become the daily transport for the wife and kids when her Golf R lease runs out in October. It will also be used for towing our newly purchased caravan! Here are some rubbish pics for the time being as it's currently awaiting a clean due to only being taken in px a day or so ago - immediate plans are to source the black pack items and get rid of the silver and also get some nicer alloys for it. I'm sure I'll be searching the forums for some advice - I've already seen a black grille and some mirror caps I'll probably purchase straight away!
