When I first bought my MK3 I didn't manage to close the fuel flap correctly. It didn't seem to sit quite as it should and a little movement made it fit perfectly again. I'm not sure why it happened, but it fits fine now and the problem hasn't reoccurred. Give it bit of a lift as you close it and see if that helps. Good Luck.

I have Speed Cameras set up in POI for Columbus, and that has the same acoustic ping. No other warnings show other than the Nav screen. It might be something similar.

Sorry It's a bit late but the Dyson stick, battery operated things are quite handy.

I had a similar thing on a Mk 2. It stuck in first from starting. Like you when i stopped and restarted all was well. It never reappeared and wasn't mentioned as a fault after a service. Good luck with it.

I had a 58 plate 170 TDI Elegance. I just traded it after many happy years. It was getting tired, bless it. I have just got a 17 plate TSI 220 SE L. Very similar car. I like them both.
