  1. I don’t understand this. It’s a facelift model - brand new. Sportline Plus 280bhp 4x4 DSG estate. what makes you think the 280bhp isn’t continued into the facelift model?
  2. This is my 4th Superb. My last was the 2.0 TDI. 190bhp 4x4 DSG estate mk 3 which I changed last week for the new facelifted 2.0 turbo petrol 280bhp 4x4 DSG estate Sportline plus. (What a car!) On my previous car, whichever driving mode I chose to use, was remembered when I next switched the car on. My new one doesn’t. It defaults to the standard driving mode every time I switch the engine back on again. I’ve looked for an option where I can tell it to remember the setting but can’t see it and it’s not referenced in the user handbook. Anyone else found this or know how to get around it?
  3. Yes - I mean the diffuser. The first picture (black one) shows the ones from Miltec which I've bought which are supposed to replicate the 220 BHP but the sportline (second picture) is what I wonder if they do as an aftermarket addition??
  4. Same car and same caravan - strangely enough. I agree totally with the above.
  5. Is there another thread on this topic - or is there any more news? I have bought the ones from Milotec and in fairness they look ok - but I'm not really pleased with them as when you look closely at them - they are clearly fake and have no depth! I've seen quite a few Sportlines around now and they look the nuts. Has anyone seen or heard about whether or not you can buy the rear spoiler from the sportline to fit to the non-sportline superbs??
  6. I'm not sure why this is different from my two previous systems. Both of them have supported texts for iPhones but this one doesn't. I don't understand why. The phone connects almost instantly but calls and music only.
  7. I'm onto my third superb. Previously had the Superb followed by the face lifted superb 2 each with Elegance trim so they had the Columbus sat nav in them. Ive now got the new Superb 3 combi SE L Exec with the upgraded version of the Columbus in it. However whilst my phone (iPhone 6s) connects perfectly as before - for some reason it doesn't allow me to either send or receive text messages as before. ive checked the manual and I appear to be missing most of the functions in the settings menu. phone settings checked and all permissions are on Any ideas why this might be?? The photos below show my options compared to what the manual says
  8. I scratched my front left with 400 miles on the clock. I took it to a local reputable alloy refurb company who charged £80 and it's as good as new. steer clear of the companies who come out to you. Having seen all the different stages and machines this company used - there's no way they can fit that in a van!! A lot of cheaper options use paint rather than strip and bring the wheel back to its original state. I guess it will be a lot cheaper than getting a new wheel.
  9. 66 Reg Superb 190 4x4 DSG SE L Executive estate. It's the second one I've had. We'll sort of as my previous one was the facelifted mark 2 but same spec. This car is a dream to drive compared to the mark 2. It's so much more refined. The ACC is amazing and when driving in the fog the front facing radar saw cars ahead before I did! I've tested it from 60 mph to a complete stop also (while covering the brakes of course!!) and it performed flawlessly and then moved off again when the car ahead did. I tow a caravan with mine so have had the integrated towbar factory fitted. Better than the palarvour I went through last time with an after market fit . The auto zoom on the map is a new feature for this model which is nice. My only query is why there isn't a green light on the dash to show if your head lights are on. I run mine on Auto mode all the time. Experimenting with the driving modes at the moment. Currently using the Eco mode which has a nice coasting function on it. No idea of figured yet though for fuel consumption. All in all I absolutely love the car. Beautiful to look at. The best yet and a dream to drive.
  10. I apologise if this has already been discussed - but despite searching I couldn't find anything. Has anyone else noticed that some Superb 3's have the extra part of the tail light illuminated while others don't? I've seen two now, one a saloon and the other an estate where the 'extra' bit which is actually on the boot lid itself is not illuminated. On mine (SE L Exec estate) it is illuminated. Please see attached photos. Does anyone know why this is ? Picture 1 - the section I'm referring to illuminated while it isn't in picture 2. Is it the case that the lower specc'd cars don't light up but the upper two do? I can't see any reason for this difference.
  11. There are a number of software changes in the facelift, many ,ore options in the maxidot menu. Thankyou to everyone who replied. Great advice as always.
  12. I've just bought a new estate 170 4x4 DSG and mine is significantly lower than my previous 140 manual. However the car is a lot heavier of course. Early 40s mainly but yet to go on a long trip. Only 500 miles from new so far.
  13. I've just taken delivery of my new 170 4x4 DSG estate and am looking at towbars. I've googled it and some companies talk about a 'bumper cut'!! No way! I'm after a detachable one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. To tow a caravan about 1500kgs max. (Not bought yet!!) also how much does it cost, generally??
  14. Yes I love the DSG/ 4x4 combination too. LS108 - I wouldn't be happy with any form of rattling sound. Not from a Skoda. Mine is silent thankfully and hope it remains so. I wouldn't pay the sort of money you do for this top end Skoda and have things rattling!! Anyhow, I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone buying a family car. There's so much space and you go and try to buy an Audi or BMW or even a Mondeo with the same spec, exactly the same and you'll be paying many thousands of pounds more for it. And for the servicing too. I bet the Skoda bosses who offer 3 year roadside recovery have a huge smile on their faces knowing that it will be a rare occasion where this is needed!
  15. Also - thank God for online sellers who sell at some 20% less than the dealers. My dealer matched them which dropped the price by over £6000.!
