  1. You don't seem to have many denim blues here...why is that ?
  2. Mate, I think your Meteor Grey beauty should be complemented by the black stripes at the bottom of the doors. It would go well with the color of your wheels !
  3. That second photo is gorgeous. Again, the O3 looks more complete when looked at from the rear
  4. Mence, you are so right about the sunroof knob Yesterday we went out of town and I was driving. I opened the roof (LHD, opened with my right hand) and left it that way. Then on the way home my wife wanted to drive so I sat on the passanger seat. Tried to close the roof with my left hand and it was very confusing couldnt close it first two attempts
  5. Rear parking sensors and the visibility of the car are good enough. The O3 is no VW CC or Merc CLS.
  6. Butch, what is that thick red line on your rear bumper?? Nicely polished!
  7. Yes the comparison is really a no brainer. What is a Tech Pack though?
  8. Ah yes, in the case of UK specs what you say seems reasonable. The OP is from Australia though, so it may differ.
  9. Congrats on your new car. You'll be pleased by everything it does. Please do share some colorful pictures :p
  10. There is no question. The 1.8 > 1.4 and the multilink > torsion beam - if you can afford it. And paying for O3 Elegance money I suggest you do.
  11. Mence, good one mate. I am also loving mine, more than 15 months already. The car handles, rides and goes like a dream so I cant think of any other car that I would be willing to switch a the moment. Not even close. I went for a non-standard tyre size 215/50/17, as I tested 225/45 and didn't like the ride. Now it is more stable than with the ''16s, slightly higher and rides just as smooth with the multilink :sun:
  12. Thanks for the appreciation guys. Here are some better pics
  13. Yes the bumper protector is the official accessory. Skoda Club Bulgaria is the Bulgarian community for Skoda enthusiats - there are regular meetings, annual national gathering etc. like Briskoda
  14. Guys come on ! The wheelarches are big for a reason - when you load your car heavily, when you drive 4-5 people in it... The Octavia is meant to have more reserves of space in its wheelarches than, say Audi or BMW, as its main selling point is the practicality of course - so we shouldn't complain too much I think.
  15. Congrats, very fresh looks with the bright interior:) Looks very similar to mine on the outside, only I have dark interior and windows. BTW does yours come with front mud-flaps as standard? Here we have the read mud-flaps as standard and I order the fronts as extra. Or you did remove your rears?
  16. Your car looks very good mate, but I still think it looks better with the 17s. But the handling I suppose is improved with the lowering and larger wheels.
  17. Having tested both the 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI I can say that the TSI's acceleration feels more balanced in a wider rev range. The TDIs power surge is front loaded so it is no wonder that launching the FWD 2.0 TDI will result in the abovementioned irritating tyre spin. This is one of the reasons I had a 4x4 this time, as I hated my wheel spin at every traffic light. So I suppose my experience with the launch control is nin the 4x4 TSI is noticeably more pleasant than the vRS...but I still think it is a rather pointless feature
  18. Driving Octavias for 9 years now, the only other car ATM that I would want is a Mk3 Superb 4х4 DSG estate (if there is ever one) with more power than my current motor Otherwise I am keen on top-spec Honda CRV in case they made larger boots and reinvent their autoboxes
