May be the second one here to have sold up. The mt09sp and the Monkey went a couple of months back now. just not getting the use out of them to warrant having them really. All is not lost. I bought an Audi TTS for a weekend car, which seems to be getting more use so far..

Ive got a Yamaha Rn602 musiccast set up linked with a Musicast 20 in the garage. it works well. It has the odd connection issue now and again but i think its more down yo my crap wifi than anything else. its nice to link rooms together. So you can walk around the house with perfectly timed music without having to have one room stupid loud so you can hear it elsewhere. any questions, ask away.

You can usually replace fill valves without taking the cistern off the pan. Its cheap flush valves that cause the work on close coupled cisterns with flush handles. replace with a fluidmaster flush valve and the bit with the diaphragm in can be pulled out the top. Loads less work next time round. Push button siphons are usually twist out. Sometimes just slip a washer on and happy days. Not bad jobs those.

completely agree. Same experience here. I went with evotech on the SP and its well made. Recommended.

i test rode one of those. Engines brilliant amd its good when on the move but christ triumph didnt keep the weight low did they

surprised they say that tbh. Usually manufacturers always say upsize external to 32mm atleast to help against freezing. its still good practice though and certainly will help. i wouldn't ever install a boiler with overflow pipe externally. I’d get a call back every other week in Jan/Feb in Buxton 😂

it will freeze in standard overflow externally. Needs to be sized up to atleast 1 -1/4

its okay on that boiler. Not ideal but the trap is sufficient to stop the fumes, i think they're around 140mm on those from memory. fair play on that pic it does look a PITA to do a soakaway. Yeah atleast 500mm away as the acidic water has been known to eat the footings of the house away. Not ideal. Where are you in the country? Tbh if thats 32mm pipe down the roof it probably wont freeze Unless you’re in an exposed area, scotland or the peaks etc but id try and angle it into the gutter abit so the wind cant blow up it quite so easily. I wouldn't bother with trace heating and tbh insulation looks a mess so id try it without first. worst thing is it freezes and faults the boiler out but you’ll know what it is. only other way then if you’re completely out of options is a condensate pump into the loft then run it out where you can. Internal soil stacks are nice when you can get a boss into them in the loft for example.

Meter monkeys only do a basic course in meter fitting, they aren't trained in anything beyond that. Due to this, they ‘fail safe’ if they aren't sure or just dont know. This means they ID or AR appliances or installations where theres nothing wrong.. i’ve been to a few where theres nothing wrong (maybe just an old open flued appliance or something that they didnt know anything about, so classes it as unsafe) so its a case of test and reconnect for me. I know Cadent go to quite a few like that to. They cause quite a fuss in the trade with people following them around. I'm looking forward to having one change my meters 😂.

There is a washer if you unscrew the rippled looking bit on the top right (turn the water off first). A new washer will fix that but You will need the valve specific washer though. It does look like a Siamp fill valve. Generally if access to the underneath isn't too bad i just change them as its less faff. Fluidmaster brass shank bottom entry fill valve is my choice. Ive fitted 100’s and very rarely go back to any even years later. its 99% likely to be a 1/2 inch thread

boiler dependant.. you shouldn't be disconnecting it internally unless theres a 75mm trap built in. The condensate is part of the flueing system and you could end up with POC into the property. If you can get it to ground level nicely then a soak-away kit may be the way forward for you from what you’re saying, if you’re happy to have a small area of ground dug up

they are a nice bike. A mates got one for touring on, well chuffed with it. Good on fuel, enough power for touring and ended up getting £50 back when he traded his MT10 in for it 😂. Yeah the 900’s are quick enough but they don’t egg you on so much so good for the read. I did 10k on my tracer 900 but only managed 4k in 2 years on the SP due to house renovation and work commitments. Need to change that this year!

Sounds good. I cant remember seeing you’d bought an mt07 tbh. Maybe its my memory! is it a Tracer or the naked one? how are you finding it compared to the R3?

sounds good. Strange the way some manufacturers seem to want you to attach them. R&g ones come with cable ties sometimes. Shocking. I’ve never had overheating problems because of a rad guard. It is England so not that warm. Ive only really had cooling fans kick in when stationary or in slow moving traffic.. which a guard wouldnt effect anyway because theres no air movement.

You might be waiting a while for that... they design what they think will sell, not what Dave from Essex wants do they lol. 207 is okay isnt it? its not huge weight... but you'd certainly notice the difference in power when you wind it up :). dare say the overall weight load will be higher than the R3

Would a 600 fit the bill? Rather peaky power compared to the 3 id imagine but there is more power

Fair play. Sounds like the MD will do something. I really don't know how CMC can continue to survive with the way its run. Whats the mechanical issues they can have?

Have you still got the R3 then? How many miles on it? Still enjoying it?
