  1. I take it you have had no problems. Mark
  2. Just got my PCT towbar ready for fitment in the new year. Got it for 76 quid which I thought was a good price and it appears to be very well made. My main question is the wiring on my 2007 tdi. Do I need a "bypass" relay? I am told the car may need one but as I have little experience with the Skoda any tips and /or advice would be welcome. I am aware Witter do a "plug and play" kit but do you need it? Thanks Mark
  3. Thanks already got one on order from my local dealer at 21 quid. I know its not brilliant but it will do the job. Mark
  4. Thanks for the reply. Guess I was just unlucky with the dealer I hope Savilles do a good job on the car. I have seen the boot cover but it looks pretty poor so I guess I will just leave it for now. Mark
  5. Picked up my 2007 tdi 3 yesterday afternoon. Drive home was 120 miles so gave me a good chance to get a feel for her. I am well impressed indeed. Cruises well plenty of overtaking power and smooth over the bumps. Got around 55 mpg which is good by my reckoning. Hate the gap between the rear seats and boot cover, whats all that about then? Other than that I think the Roomster is a good replacement for my Berlingo. Only problem was dealer who "forgot" to service and mot the car.Sorted that by taking it to a local agent and they will be paying the bill. Bloody dealers (it was a Skoda garage) Just wish it was summer so I could enjoy the panoramic roof more. Mark
  6. Yes did it outside the dealers and yes you are right tardis! Reckon I can carry my bikes no problem. Mark
  7. Thanks all. About time I got a new motor and I thought I would never find something to replace the Berlingo. The Skoda is slightly smaller but somehow seems to have more room inside(tardis). Love the glass roof and the climate control will be most welcome. Looking forwards to owning and driving her. Mark
  8. Did the deal and am now the owner of a "roomy". Great to drive and so much more advanced than my Berlingo. Picking her up Friday I cant wait! Mark
  9. Many thanks to all the help regarding my questions about the Roomster. I have found what I think might be my first Skoda. Its a 2007 tdi 3 in Amazonian green which looks a pretty classy colour and not one that have seen much of on the roads. Hope its as good as it looks in the photos the dealer sent me so fingers crossed. Mark
  10. Thanks but its a 2 not 3 sadly. Regards Mark
  11. Many thanks indeed. Roofbars are a must as I carry cycles and have a box too! Thanks for the info on the dash I was pretty sure that's the way it was but thanks for the confirmation, Just need a 2007/8 1.9 tdi 3 with roof rails.Back soon I hope. Cheers Mark
  12. I am new here and thinking of buying a used 1.9 tdi 3 Roomster.I have two questions regarding the car one is how do you fit roofbars if there are no "factory" rails and on some models there appears to be two radio consoles.Am i right in thinking that the upper display is to control the aircon etc? Cant find any close up pictures to confirm it but some models don't seem to have two displays so i am guessing its a model/year specific spec. Thanks Mark
  13. Hi all im about to buy a Roomster after running Citroens for many years .Looking for any useful info and buying tips regarding the 1.9 td 3. Cheers Mark
