I was looking at changing my hatch for an estate now we have a dog. Just more room to fit everybody and camping gear but looking at silly money to change. So an option is to get a roof rack for the hatch. As anybody used a roof rack on their hatch? any pictures, preferred make, issues?? Tried google but can't find any images. Cheers

Buy now or wait for facelift?
pkoconnor replied to SteveJag's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I got quoted over the weekend for the new one. Nothing was said about the order book being closed. 2.0 TSI 272 4X4 DSG Sport Line Special paint - Meteor grey Space saver spare wheel Virtual Cockpit - 10.25" digital display Variable boot floor Canton sound system Dynamic chassis control £30,753 Which I thought was a lot of car for the money and serious considering it. -
Could be the known fuel line issue. I had it and had the clips replaced at Skoda. They are just under the drivers door.

220 - 245 snip from below link. Actually it’s more technically involved than that. The developments may look iterative on paper, but they set the scene for further power and efficiency advancements in coming models. With that in mind it’s a bigger job than you’d imagine, with the complete removal of the indirect (or port) fuel-injection system, engineers instead managing the same job with redesigned direct-injection nozzles and a new fuel pump to cope with the extra loads required to hit emissions and fuel economy targets. New pistons have also been introduced and a turbocharger with different flow characteristics complete the under-bonnet engineering revisions. I know the APR map for the 245 is completely different to the 220. I was speaking to the Awesome GTI about getting mine done but the power results are the same. https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/skoda/skoda-octavia-vrs-245-2017-review/ You can watch APR do the 245. Its in German but you can see the results and test runs.

VRS downpipe and Engine Management Light
pkoconnor replied to Chris245's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
If your car is already mapped then you wont get the EML. You would only get the EML if you add a downpipe to a stock vehicle. When AMD do the install they should sort that for you. -
Octavia vRS 245 Challenge - Exhaust
pkoconnor replied to JKeswick's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
If you want a sporting sounding exhaust on the VRS then you need to replace it with an after market one. The 245 SE had the same marketing and it’s not sporty. -
Would have been interesting if they added the Golf GTI TCR 290 engine.

Just try it again. I have the same phone and firmware 12.1.2 and had no issues. Failing that do a system reset on the head unit.

I am thinking these after Christmas. Clubsport GTI brakes. https://www.awesomegti.com/shop-by-brand/oem/genuine-mqb-340x30mm-clubsport-s-front-brake-discs-pair-5q0615301c/ . -
Just watched this... Interesting against more powerful and better handling cars. I thought the family wagon did pretty well....

Direct from Eibach. https://eibach.com/uk/home They worked out cheaper at the time and I just wanted to make sure I got a genuine set.

Have you tried going into the menu, settings and doing a system reset? -
October price list L&K Scout and vRS included
pkoconnor replied to SurreyJohn's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Was the current 245 a one off then? On the configurator the standard options are now options that you have to pay for. Example not standard. Heated seats £255 Folding Mirrors £255 Front and Rear Parking sensors £400 -
That would make sense why it only happens on occasion. I will keep an eye on the rev counter to see if I can point when it happens.

Can I ask other DSG owners. I noticed a difference in the modes when you floor it from stand still. Drive - floor it - silky smooth all gears Sport - floor it Silky smooth all gears Manual - floor it - 1st gear change into 2nd and it feels like snaps into gear with a wheel hop. This is not always just occasionally but you do feel it.. All other changes are fine. Anybody else felt anything similar? or is that just a characteristic of the box..

APR has released a remap for the 245 and Golf PP. Not sure if it's the same 2.0 tsi map or one that is specifically for the 245 . Top speed 169mph 0-62 - 5.5 seconds It's in German but the description is below. For anybody thinking of taking the jump. Published 2nd August 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4vwZbOxGhY IT'S UP! Here is the long - awaited Videolog 7 and thus the launch of the software for the Golf 7 GTI facelift performance and the Octavia RS245. As a nice saying says: What lasts long is good at last. And it is definitely good. We can achieve over 300 hp without hardware adjustments up to 500 nM torque. Our Videolog 7 also shows that additional hardware brings in Stage 1 its benefits. So drives our own RS245 now with strong 330 hp. This also drastically reduces the times from 100 to 200. We are ready for the Stage 1, Stage 2 and of course for the popular IS38 upgrade. Opinions? No problem! Are you fueling a special fuel? Also not an issue. We offer you 95/98 and also 102 Octan polls. And that does not stop the good news. You had to wait a long time and we want to honor that! And so we will give you a whopping 15% discount for all RS245 and GTI Performance Facelift customers by the end of August to celebrate the market launch. Have fun with our video. We look forward to seeing you! Power dates! It starts!

Skoda Connect: No Discount
pkoconnor replied to sniffermark's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Correct - both Google Maps and Waze coming with ios 12. https://www.macrumors.com/2018/06/04/apple-says-third-party-nav-apps-coming-to-carplay/ -
Accepted that if I have a suspension issue I will have to find the cost myself. Fortunately I have been lucky in that my dealer has not questioned any upgrades or modifications and completed my warranty repairs no problem. Plus you not sure if if suspension falls into the wear and tear 6 month category. So might have to pay for the repair anyway. This is is my third Skoda which I have modified and had no issues with warranty. The only areas I would not consider in warranty are engine and gearbox.

I started using it all the time after discovering it provides live traffic data onto the NAV system. Only had it 3 months and didn't know.. It doesn't connect first time, I have to switch the personal hotspot on/off and then it picks up the connection. I am Vodafone and have had now data issues. I am on Vodafone and have no data issues.
