  1. Sounds very interesting and could be the cause, it certainly originates from that area. Its booked in now to the dealers on the 13th May for both the break issue and clunk sound.
  2. Hi I have had my New SE FL 1.2 DSG Black Yeti since March and I have to say I love it. Great riding height, good admunsen and just love the design. My options were Annupurna wheels (look great and sophisticated), heated windscreen (not had a chance to use it yet), spare wheel, sat nav (good but could be better) and auto lights w/s etc. It corners confidently and the poke for a 1.2 makes it a great drive, especially with the DSG. MPG okish (29 mpg....accept it to be lower than it should be as it hasnt run in yet plus doing short trips 70% of the time), auto windscreen wipers okish (they work well sometimes but on low drizzle it struggles and I find myself taking control). These are all massive positives for me...but there are a couple of things I am hoping you good people can advise, help or even tell me its normal. 1 - When I reverse after driving forward and I apply the break I get a loud clonk from what i think is the break calipers applying the pads to the disc. Is this normal or should I take it in to be looked at? Once applied the break once it does not happen again when I keep on reversing and apply the breaks it doesnt happen. 2 - Unfortunately Betty has developed a creak/clonk or something metal on metal in the rear of the car (I think but could also be plastic) when I go over medium bumps which lets face it given the state of our roads you can appreciate it does happen very often! I have tried process of elimination by taking parcel shelf out, reseating the seats, ensuring seat belts are in the holders, taking spare wheel out, putting a big cloth between rear wheel and the things surrounding it. I just dont know what it is and it is driving me mad! Any advice?? I have searched the forum and have tried almost every method. 3 - Loss of space due to spare wheel. IMO I think Skoda messed up on this one and I think it was a bit of an afterthought about space given all standard models dont come with a Spare. 4 - After it has rained and I open the window I get a load of water pour in..... I have bought some bars and box so with the impending European trip I cant wait to put Betty through her paces Still got that lovely brand new smell !! Cheers all and hope you can help out with my queries. Steve
  3. Thanks for confirming, I will keep an eye on the hissing sound. One thing I keep getting in my Maxidot when I turn the car off, it says "check safetylock" see user manual. What the hell is this lol I checked the manual and cant find anything.
  4. I picked up my new Yeti 1.2tsi DSG SE in black with annapurna wheels, amundsen, quick clear windscreen, auto light pack, spare wheel, mud flaps. Love it. The build quality is superb, the seats are comfortable even on a long journey I had not problems. The DSG box is very good. A couple of niggles: My left outside knee lies up against the wall of the centre console and it is killing me! I will put some foam in that area to soften it. The sat nav voice volume does not quieten down the music when playing through BT streaming. When moving off from standstill I get a slight hesitency in power and also get a slight stalling feel (best I can explain it) before it picks up speed 0-5mph.. anyone have this with the DSG? But something I have noticed is a sound coming from the engine only noticable with the window down. When I put my foot down, not to go fast but generally as you do, I get what I can describe as a hissing sound or sound if you are taking air out of tyres. Is this normal? I think it is the turbo? It only happens as your picking up speed and not consistently. Anyway as a I say I love it and it has met all expectations. Will post pics soon. Cheers Steve
  5. Build week for mine was week 6, collecting 8th March....
  6. I have to say I was baffled by the responses, seemed to me a genuine person needing help and advice...if we all jump on the newbies (myself also a newbie) with these accusastions how is the club going to grow if certain people turn the off. Whilst I cannot provide much support or advice yet until I pick up my Yeti it does kinda put me off asking advice in the future.
  7. pick up the Yeti on the 8th March...14 plate! Its gonna be a long couple of weeks.
  8. Bloody hell that was quick! I ordered mine in early Nov and it hasnt hit the UK yet...well not that ive been told anyway.
  9. Hi Does anyone know what model RNS version of Amundsen Nav is in the FL Yeti? Thanks Steve
  10. ahh deflectors it is, i have maxi dot but not xenon's. :(
  11. hmmm how do I know if I have Maxi dot? I have an amundsen sat nav as an option?
  12. Hi I am waiting for my new Yeti to be delivered. This year I am going to take my new Yeti for a trip to France and I was wondering if I need to purchase beam converters or does the Yeti have a switch in the light box to move them? I have heard other cars having this. Thanks Steve
  13. Mine was built week 6...I asked dealer to hold until March to register on the 14 plate but they said they have to register within 10 days of receipt...heres hoping it turns up in 6 days time!
  14. looks great! lovely colour. I collect mine hopefully in a few weeks...also a City. I have ordered Black Magic so nice to see a dark colour and the contours. What wheels are they? I have ordered Annapurna. Got any pics of the interior with amundsen? Enjoy!
