So we have two Skodas in our drive, an Octy III and a Roomster. Last weekend my wife found the object in the attached photos on the drive too, which has probably fallen off one of them! My PC is a work one with anti virus and malware stuff in it which may have been interfering with either or both the download or 7zip. Mind you I never have problems with downloading and unzipping much smaller files. Files now in the SD card, try in the car tomorrow.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Ok, I think I have solved the problem, mainly by firing up my Ubuntu laptop, installing the Dta plugin on the copy of Firefox, then faultlessly downloaded the big file in one go, installed the 7zip extension in Archive Manager, unzipped the file to my big external hard drive, now transferring to my work PC which has a card drive slot! User friendly uh? By the way when I took the SD card out of the car it was in slot 1, I thought it was supposed to be in slot 2? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The problem is that whilst the files download (sometimes!), 7zip won't correctly extract them. I am trying again using my Linux machine, see if that works better. Failing that will have to try the Mac! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hello, I've tried many times to download the map updates for my Amundsen with no success, or rather, having downloaded the file using Dta when I try to extract it with 7zip it fails to open. This is on a win7 machine with the latest Firefox and 7 zip versions. Once the file is downloaded the file name looks ok, just won't open. Has anyone any suggestions for what may be wrong please? One thing, when starting the download Dta has a hash option, the default that comes up is sha1, is this the one to use? Haven't even got the files on my PC yet let alone the SD card. When you program a route in the satnav on the Amundsen and "start" then select traffic info, it comes up with all the traffic info which is stupid, it would be better if it just showed info relevant for the route as the default. To select this you need two button selections on the touch screen and since by now you're driving this is not good! Is there a way to change the default to "route" that anyone knows please?

Wham I get in my Octy III and start the engine I'd really like the nav screen to come on but the radio to be muted like I left it when I parked last night. Is there a setting to select this please that anyone knows?

I think they may have released this early because people were finding that the previous update for the Amundsen would not work. I downloaded several times and every time 7zip wouldn't open the downloads, and the agent said that other people were having the same problem. I have to say I think this process is absolutely crap, if they are offering free updates for 3 years they should just swap your SD card and not expect their customers to fight the IT.
