Hi Warrior193, thanks for the help, managed to sort it out. Basically exactly as you said, not overly difficult, I seem to remember air filters used to be a lot more straightforward than this one. I’ve had a spat of new cars over the years so just had dealer service instead. Alas not anymore.

Decided to change my air filter on my Octavia 1.0 tsi and ordered a Bosch replacement, paid about £12 online, the original has been on since Jan ‘17. Trying to find help on how to do it, looks like rocket science now, didn’t used to be 30 years ago under the bonnet of cars. I guess things change, any tips on how to do it for that model? Cheers.
