Wasn't the load wire in the end. Bought a second hand alternator for £24.50 on eBay with free p&p. Sorted and yeah was the first thing we done along with mot costing £300 Reg is GJ02CKU

Hiya guys and gals. Seeking some advice for my girlfriends car. Every morning she gets in the car, starts it up, the battery symbol flashes and beeps at her. Until she revs the car. So she revs it slightly and it turns off. Then when she lets off and leaves it to idle, it comes back and keeps beeping. I noticed there was no braid earthing the block to the chassis, so done that and seemed to fix it for a couple days but now it's back with a vengeance :( Battery is brand new and so is alternator. Any idea's?

FGF = Fantasy Green Fabia. Looks like some surface grime and dirt but no damage, but the person I got the car off bought them brand new. So were in the car to go on if needed, ended up not needing them. And yes. Just checked my old strut, looked exactly the same as you can see, exactly the same Sure we can come to a deal

In very good condition in a anthracite colour. They're 205/40/17 tyres on them, 2 new fronts and the rears will need replacing. Due to work commitments and other things. Cannot be delivered. Ideal thanks dude. Will look into it. Most likely end up buying a new standard turbo and getting it mapped. Just didn't want to map my turbo that's done 104k. Was reading up on turbodynamics. If mine blows, can I fit a hybrid and only have it mapped to 170? As hyrbids are normally a better construction aren't they?

So basically don't go the route of hybrid unless I've uprated everything else, such as brakes, intercooler etc? Where would be the best place to get a standard turbo? New or reconditioned? as I'd never buy a second-hand turbo.

Helllo, Not sure people are too keen on me on this site as I blew up at a few people. Which I now take the time to apologise for that.. Now witch the questions I wanted to ask.. I was wondering at what point it would be to change out the standard turbo. I have a 06 mk1 VRS on 104k miles. And i'm new to turbo cars and all that jazz. I'm always worried that my turbo is going to blow. What can I do to inspect my turbo? main things to look for if its going wrong? Also, when and if I need to replace it? What route would I go down? Hybrid or standard? I have no idea what the difference is as I am new to all the technical talk. I know I may sound like a complete and utter retard about it all but at the end of the day im asking for advice so I can learn some more! If your going to use turbo names like the Darkside Developments website I will have no clue what your on about... :( What's the difference between a hybrid and a standard turbo? What's the Pro's and cons of running a hybrid? Thanks in advance for all criticism.
