Hi all, This question has probably been asked a million times...but when is the best time to buy a used Skoda from a dealership? Im assuming there is a particular time when the manufacturer is trying to get rid of old stock and the newer model is coming in.....

To anyone in the UK...would you buy a used Skoda from a dealer or private individual? Im assuming the dealerships honor the 7 year warrenty that Skoda offers?

I intend to go for a test drive tomorrow... Agreed about not buying the cheapest for a taxi though...Looking to spend about 7k,ish!

Can i buy the DSG and just set it to auto? not using the steering paddles at all....

Is there such a thing as a Skoda automatic but no DSG?

In your opinion guys, if someone driving the DSG, just left it in automatic mode, without fiddling with it, its at less of a risk to go wrong?

Insurance here in the UK works different...but I was thinking of more along the lines of when you buy insurance for your stereo or your phone. If it breaks down the insurance company will try and fix it and if not replace it. I understand how extended warranties work...but what would cover it once its out of the extended warranty period?
